A bat was approaching a dark silhouette of a castle. It was Castle Dracula and the bat was the count himself. He landed on of the many towers of the castle. A quick transformation and he was himself again. Nearby was the sound of howling wolves welcoming home the vampire from his bloody quest. Dracula stood there for a second to enjoy the music they made. His long bread was covered in fresh blood from a helpless victim, a woman from the nearby village. He crawled down the wall like a spider and entered his home though a open window. He was in on of his many chambers, brighly lited by many candles. On a wall there was a map of London, England. There were red circles around ten places, including Carfax Abby. Dracula had bought it and was about closed the deal with the help from the young solicitor Jonathan Harker. The vampire was about to fetch him himself on his diligence. He wanted to surprise his guest. Out from the black shadows came one of Draculas brides. A blonde, young woman with pale white skin and she was almost naked. When the moonlight was upon her, she glowed like a star.
"My dear beloved..." said the count. "Thought you were out there with the others."
"I wanted to see our guest." said the bride with a child-like innocence in her voice. "I hear that he is a young man."
"That is correct. But he is important to me."
"I thought we were important to you."
"Of course you are, my dear. But he is our guest and he will help me to close a deal for me."
"But..."
"Silence!"
Dracula pushed his bride with brute force back to the shadows.
"You and your sisters will obey me!" he said. "London shall be our new hunting ground. Not only shall we take lives, we shall take their way of life. Do you understand?"
The more humble bride came back from the dark. She didn´t want to look her master in the eyes. Dracula came closer to her.
"Do you understand, my dear?" he said with a gentle tone in his voice. Now they had eye contact. The bride had blood tears in her eyes. Dracula dryed them away as if were of nothing.
"I understand, my love." she said and they kissed. "I long to see the other country and taste new lives."
"And we all will get the chance, but I will seal the deal with Mr. Harker."
"And after that?"
"Then his fate is in your hands. Share him with the others. But remember now..."
"First after the deal. I understand."
They kissed again and the bride returned to her room. Dracula put on a coat and a hat. He then jumped out the window and landed on the diligence with grace. The horses wern´t frightened by his presence. Dracula went away from the castle in full galop. The bride watched as he went off. The others brides came from behind her like ghosts.
"Where is he going?" said one of them.
"He is going after a young man." said the bride. "Someone we can play with."
All three of them laughed as they hugged each other. If only Johnathan Harker knew of what was coming for him.
