A/N: This is a short dabble with Alex and Olivia after a tough day. A/O
"You look like you could use a drink." Olivia Benson said as she took in Alex Cabot's tired expression.
"Come on, work will still be here tomorrow." she said, offering her hand to the ADA. When Alex hesitated just slightly she added "besides, are you really getting anything done or are you just rereading the same thing ten times?"
At that Alex allowed a small smile to touch her face as she removed her black frame glasses and lifted herself from her chair.
"How did you know. Was it your amazing detective skills?"
Olivia laughed as she helped the blond into her coat.
"You could say that, or the fact that I've been there too many times myself."
Alex nodded at the statement, knowing that when Olivia was working on an important case she had the tendency to lose track of not just time, but days as well.
So where are we going on this fine November night?" Alex asked. As they headed out onto the sidewalk Alex could feel the cold autumn wind nipping at her skin. It was a wonderful feeling to her, made even better by the brunette detective walking just a bit closer then customary next to her.
Alex couldn't help but become aware of the woman walking beside her. The way her smooth, casual black pants accented her hips in all the right places, much like the tight, form fitting navy blue top was doing. Her eyes again landed on the badge clipped neatly to the belt of Olivia's pants, along with sidearm, making her look even more powerful then she already did. And that leather jacket. Damn, if it was one thing that Alex just went weak for that was it. Nothing was sexier then Olivia Benson in that damn leather jacket, walking with that swagger that said "Yeah I know I'm sexy, it's whatever."
Alex licked her lips as her thoughts started to turn down a dangerous path. Alex glanced over at her companion once more and brought her body just a little closer to Olivia's.
Had anyone looked they would have appeared to be nothing more then friends out walking together.
"Well" Olivia began, drawing Alex out of her thoughts.
"I thought we would head home, put on some of the jazz music you love so much and uncork that bottle of wine you bought last week. I'll even light some candles if you want babe."
Alex looked over and smiled sweetly at the detective. Even after the most horrible days Olivia could still make her smile with just the simplest gestures.
A larger grin spread over Alex's gentle features as she leaned over and placed a small, soft kiss on Olivia's lips.
"That sounds prefect love."
