Thick tendrils of smoke curled throughout the room getting knocked off their paths by the wildly gesticulating arms of the bars patron's and the smell of liquor, sweat and cigarettes was everywhere. The gentle sound of the cello, the brashness of the trumpet and the dark, melodic voice of the singer adding to the heavy and seductive atmosphere.
In a corner of the bar secluded from the rest an attractive older man was sitting with a poor, young man. The conversation drowned out by the noise of the others in the bar. The older man smiled devilishly at the other and slowly lent forward and grabbed his lapel and gently dragged the man towards him, all the while the younger man was struggling against his hold. Their lips met. They held the kiss for around five seconds and then the younger man wrenched away, picked up a tumbler of cheap whiskey, downed it and ran out of the bar.
The man who was left closed his dark eyes, smiled and chuckled to himself. Looking down to pick up his own tumbler he noticed something.
"Oh dear, you've left your coat."
