A/N: Just a short story I came up with in the middle of the night when I was listening to music and watching the storm outside my window..

Disclaimer: I do not own these charaters, J.K. Rowling does.

Dance in the darkness

He watched her as she danced around the dark room, only filled with the light from the moon and the streetlights in the snowstorm outside the window. Soft music played from a muggle device to the right of the room as she kept dancing. Her eyes were closed and his presents went unnoticed by her as she was lost in her own world. He fought the urge to stand up and dance with her, as he had done so many times before. He didn't understand himself why he kept coming back every night to watch her, couldn't figure out what made him reach out for her in the darkness. Maybe it was the way she moved, so slow and sensual, or maybe it was the way the moon and streetlights made her look in the dark? The way her skin glowed in the light, the way her brown curls became darker and at the same time lighter. Or maybe it was something else? An unknown force that brought him to her? How many times would he sit here after this, just watching her? Maybe this would be the last one? Slowly he stood from his place in the dark and slowly walked towards her. She didn't seem to notice as the music kept filling the dark room with soft tunes. He reached out to her as he came close enough to her and caught her warm hands in his own cold ones. She gasped and her eyes shot open in fear. When they landed on his face she calmed and smiled.

–Fred.

–Hermione.

His hands let go of hers and instead moved to her waist. Hers moved around his neck and they both took a step closer to the other.

–Dance?

She nodded and smiled a warm smile which he returned as they started to move slowly around the room together. Slowly the music started to turn down and then completely stop. They stopped too, still holding each other and looking into each others eyes.

–How long were you here?

–Too long before letting myself noticed.

She smiled and he did too before he bend his head down so their lips were only an inch apart.

–I would have let myself become noticed before if I only knew it would end like this.

She smiled again and moved her head that one inch closer and met his lips with her own in a soft kiss.
