Heya guys! It's been a while. I know a lot of you have suggested me doing a sequel for my previous story, the Benders of Olympus, so without further ado, here is the first chapter!
Chapter 1
Aang's POV
Colors and lights swirled past Aang, spiraling all around him in a kaleidoscope of blues and purples. Starry skies, flowing rivers, comets and black holes, sailed past him so fast he didn't have time to completely process them. Beside him he could see Katara, Sokka, and all of the others as they twisted and turned, sailing back home. Memories of his time at Camp Half-Blood were playing in his head, like an old movie without sound. Everything was fine. Back to normal, as always.
Then the lights faded. The whistling of the wind stopped. Time and space seemed to stand still as everything melted into a vast expanse of white. Coming from nowhere.
Going to nowhere.
There was a moment of silence. Aang took a deep breath. "Katara?" He turned his head. Beside him Katara floated in the air, her expression emotionless and her eyes blank. Aang shook her. He called her name but she didn't respond. Frantic, he shouted into her ear but she still didn't seem to hear him. He turned to the others. They were also suspended, ethereally floating in the blank emptiness of... wherever they are.
"Sokka?" Aang whispered. "Zuko? Toph?"
"They can't hear you," a melodic voice spoke. Aang turned. In the distance a small shining light grew bigger, solidifying into the shape of a woman. Her silvery hair floated around her, grazing her paper-white skin. She was wearing a long white gown that floated around her too, almost like mist, the top hugging her slim and elegant physique. The bottom of the gown was decorated with a wavy gold pattern. Her feet were bare, her toes pointing straight downwards like a ballet dancer. And her eyes... her eyes, unlike the plain white of everything else, were a deep chocolate brown. Although she seemed no older than 25, they seemed to hold an infinite knowledge that stretched on, back to the beginning of time. The woman approached, seemingly walking on nothing, floating towards Aang almost like a ghost.
Aang froze as she neared. She stopped about three feet away from him, regarding him with a curious glance. "W-w-who are you?" Aang stuttered. The woman tilted her head. "My name is Avala, and I'm afraid you'll be staying here a while."
How did you like it? Any thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions? Tell me in the comments!
