A Restless Dream
The sun was falling behind the horizon as the dark, gray clouds of the windy and stormy night left the atmosphere with sudden sorrow. A rain drop fell from the clouds and drenched the ground below it. Light Yagami was walking in the streets of Tokyo, hurridly towards his apartment he could see in the distance. By the time he reached it, the clouds had formed in on him to create a gust of rain and wind.
As he opened the door, standing before him was a creature far beyond beautiful, far beyond anything he had ever imagined, for it was his...roomate; Ryuzaki. Light quickly slammed the door shut and could see the creature turn his head to the side, puzzled with a look of grief. "Light-kun, you are all wet," he noticed. "Can't you see it out there?" asked Light, furious by his current state, "it's pouring rain, are you blind?" They rolled their eyes at each other and progressed through the hallway.
Light couldn't help but feel constantly being watched by his roomate, stalked. Every time he turned his head to look at him, their eyes would always meet and melt into each other. Ryuzaki sighed. He looked above at the clock: it was 5:30pm. They were already late for their meeting up at the Kira Headquarters, as it was destined to start at 5:15.
The two roomates slumped themselves onto the couch looking directly oppisate eachother. You would never really call them friends; it was always either enemies or allies. The two hated being roomates, so it seemed, but Light didn't agree on chaining eachother's hands together at all times like Ryuzaki insisted. Instead, they simply had to live together and be around each other 24/7 until the case was solved.
Silence took its time to spread around the entire room as the clock ticked away the seconds of the night. Light could see Ryuzaki facing toward him, his elbow gently resting on the side of the couch. "Light-kun..' he began to say, moving closer to him, his hands swiftly touching his hair. "What do you want?" responded Light hesitantly, "stop touching my hair." He forced the beautiful creature off him immediately and sighed.
"I don't want anything,' replied Ryuzaki, facing oppisate to Light again, "but you realise we are late for another important meeting." Even though it seemed neither of them cared, Ryuzaki began to dial his cellphone to inform Watari they wouldn't be coming for the fifth night in a row. "Surely they are getting suspicious?" Light asked inquisitively, closing his eyes and trying to focus on what they might be thinking.
"Perhaps," Ryuzaki began to converse, "but why would it matter? I'm in charge, after all, and as they know, I can change any plans at any time I wish to; and I'm cancelling this yet again." Light was tired, frustrated and just wanted him out of the way. He was honestly sick of cancelling continuous meetings related to Kira, himself. And what else was he to do but sit in his city apartment all night with a person so inhuman and deadly to him?
But so they were bored mindless, and sat there, they did. Watching the rain fall down and brush itself onto the windows as the wind pushed against it. It was the noise of the clock ticking and the thunderstorm that made them fall asleep on each other, something they hoped never intending to do, atleast to Light it seemed. Although he didn't want to admit it, he was beginning to think of Ryuzaki as something else, as if he was thinking of Light as something more.
Something more.
No. Light wasn't going to think that, as he didn't want to feel the same about him. At least, he didn't /think/ he did, he surely wasn't aware of it. But while the night carried on, so did their sleep and the soft chants of the rain.
End of Part One.
