Just saying, I never had written a one shot romance before so bear with me...

Don't own One Piece, Eiichiro Oda does. Takes place in episode 522. OOC ZORO.

She didn't know what to do.

She watched as the man she spent two long years with on Kuraigana Island run with his other two nakama.

Her last words was just a warning about the Navy warships which were closing in.

But she didn't know what her true feelings were.

She could talk perfectly fine in front of him before, so why did it feel like her heart was beating more rapidly than usual when she thought about his departure?

She had to go to him again. It was almost inevitable.

Perona flew towards where she remembered the Thousand Sunny was. Grove 42, wasn't it? Flying through trees and more trees her mind wandered off to the sweet memories of her last two years. Roronoa Zoro probably had gotten lost more times then she could count. Of course, it was a big surprise that Dracule Mihawk came along with them. At first she hated the two newcomers; how they ordered her around - especially that Zoro, who couldn't even follow a person! She gradually got used to it, and felt like she had lived in that gloomy island her whole life.

Nevertheless, why these feelings? Zoro was nothing but a toy to her. Zoro was nothing but an old enemy to her, in Thriller Bark.

Buried in her thoughts, she almost didn't see the large number '42' on a tree in front of her. Snapping out of her thoughts, she whisked herself away to the Thousand Sunny ship. Now was the time...to tell him. That she didn't want to see Zoro be away from here. That he shouldn't leave her after their long two years. That she really...really...did not want him to depart.

'Perona!' A voice Perona recognised so much and lived with yelled. 'Why the heck have you returned? I haven't gotten lost, as you can clearly see!'

'Shut up!' was the screeching reply, and clutching her umbrella, Perona floated towards the green haired man named Zoro. Then her voice softened for some reason, automatically. 'Can I...speak to you in private?'

Zoro could tell something was weird about this awkward moment. Luckily, everyone else was too busy looking at Boa Hancock and the Kuja Pirates and the Marine warships. 'I'm under attack now, if you haven't noticed.' He said, but not in the complaining tone he had planned to release. What was wrong with him? Why was his voice softening just like hers?

'Okay then. But make it quick.' He slipped off deck unnoticed and made his way behind the Grove 42 tree so no one could hear. Perona followed behind him, before looking in all directions to make sure the coast was clear. 'So what is it?' Zoro enquired once she had finished this task.

'I just want to...ask...' Perona's heart was going wild now. What was she going to say? 'What...is this feeling inside?' she asked so quietly that Zoro barely heard it.

Zoro cocked his head to the right. 'Huh?'

'I think I...I...I...'

She couldn't do it.

'I...think I like you.'

'Perona...' Zoro said. Perona was waiting to be laughed at or humiliated. Her, falling in love with an enemy!

'Why didn't you tell me before?!'

And before she knew what hit her, she was pulled in an embrace with Zoro.

'I already liked you from the beginning.'

There was a long silence in which Perona had to confirm her hearing. He liked her from the beginning? But everything seemed to fall in place somehow, although there was nothing to prove it. But she had these last words to say, and it was no longer embarassing to confess.

'Please don't go.' Perona asked pleadingly. 'if you really have to...

Just one farewell kiss, please? Just one.'

Oh wow that was the worst romance ever 0.o Please review!
