I own the Idea of this sequence of events.
"Get down."
"No."
"I SAID get down."
"And I SAID NO!"
"Either you get down, or I'm going to go up there and drag you down."
" . . . leave me alone."
"No."
"Why not? You never cared about me. You still don't."
Snort. "And I never will, but you still need to get down."
"Why? Why would I do that? Why shouldn't I jump right now and end it all? They never needed me. They never wanted me and they've always ridiculed me. ALWAYS!"
"I don't care. I don't care about Them. And neither should you. You're putting too much weight in what those stupid brain deprived buckets of waste think and say."
"B- but they're impor-"
"Important? Really? What have they ever done for you? What have they ever Done? Anything? Has anything out of their mouths ever had the slightest bit of worth? Or had you already been too poisioned with their stupid to ever give such things thought?"
"I- I had- hadn't-"
"You had, hadn't you? You've never tried have you? You've been too prepared to do this you're entire life, just run around trying to find your worth, always trying and trying and failing and failing-"
"SHUT UP! WHAT DO YOU KNOW? WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ME?"
" . . . do you think I don't have eyes? Do you think I can't hear them? It's not like you try to hide away their opions, and it's not like your situation is uniqe or anything. You're just one of the millions."
"Shut- shut up . . ."
"Get down."
"No, there's no reason. If there are millions like me, then I can disappear without being missed."
"No you can't."
"I can't what?"
"Disappear!"
"Wha-?"
"YOU CAN'T! Do you even have an idea of what would happen if you left? What would happen if you just stopped trying? I- I don't- I can't- I WON'T LET THAT HAPPEN!"
"Wait- calm down-"
"NO! I won't just calm down! You- you're threatening to do something that can't be reversed and if you left then- then- I wouldn't be able to fix it. Do you understand? I- I couldn't fix it!"
The slid of cloth against metal and the Thump of boots hitting grass was heard over the quiet sobbing of the other. Slow timid steps were taken before they stood infront of the one shaking with supressed sobs.
"Gaz, do you really need him that much?"
"Shu- shut u- up Zim! You're everything to him! EVERYTHING! I- if you disappeared, o-or got K- killed th- then he wouldn't be able to go on! It -it would break him, irreversably! An-an-an-!"
A clawed digit is pressed to the shaking lips of the crying human and the green alien flashed a cocky grin.
"Gaz-Hyman. I the great and mighty Zim! Will keep from ending Zim's glorious life, at least until your Dib-Brother has something else to fight."
Zim then walked away from the crying girl, a new purpose given to his life. But once he turned the corner, the girl immediatly stopped crying and flipped open her phone.
"Hey Dib, I think I fixed him. He won't try to kill himself for a while now."
"Thanks Gaz."
"Don't give me words, just make sure my pizza's still hot." Gaz snapped the phone shut and looked down the path Zim had taken to leave. She breathed out a large sigh and grumbled as she began walking home.
"Dumb aliens, dumb brothers, dumb Feelings!"
Nothing would ever make Gaz ever admit to actually caring about the green boy.
Not even the threat of his own death.
In my opinion, Zim and Gaz would never actually act this way, but I really liked the Idea of gaz having to talk Zim out of suicide without admiting that she actually cares.
And Did you think that it was Dib talking Zim down or Zim talking Dib down, or someone else? I was just tryig to make sure that you didn't guess who it was till the end.
