"How long do you think before they notice Fred?"
"I give them...an hour at least," George said with a smirk. "This IS our ickle brother Ron we're talking about."
"And dear Hermione isn't much better," Fred said with a mock-sad shake of his head. "It's almost tragic really."
"I know. It would be a crying waste of a good prank really."
"Absolutely."
In the corner of the Gryffindor common room, Ron and Hermione were too busy arguing to pay any attention to the amount of attention that Fred and George were paying them. George just shook his head.
"Those two really are having too much fun-"
"-to really notice. This could-"
"-take a while."
"What are you two up to this time?" Angelina said with a slight hint of exasperation as she sat down beside the two boys. A smile played gently on her lips. Fred and George looked scandalised.
"Angelina, I'm shocked! Shocked I tell-"
"-you! How dare you suggest that we-"
"-might be up to something without a shred-"
"Of evidence whatsoever!"
"Although we may have given our clueless little brother-"
"-and his equally clueless girlfriend-"
"-a bit of a friendly nudge-"
"-to admitting their feelings."
"What did you two do?" she asked with amusement and they gave her a pair of identical grins.
"Just take a closer look-"
"-at their shadows-"
"-and you'll see-"
"-what we mean."
Angelina frowned as she watched Hermione and Ron continue to bicker. Hermione and Ron of course failed to notice. Nor for that matter, did they notice their shadows were kissing and making romantic gestures of every kind. It was somewhat bizarre to say the least.
"What ARE their shadows doing?" she asked, a grin forming on her face.
"Pretty much what-"
"-we think that-"
"-they want to do-"
"-but they haven't yet realised-"
"-they want to do."
Angelina chuckled and sat down. This could take a while.
