Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even the baby kitten and mouse. Their stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. Chloe was nestled snug in her bed in VT while visions of Harm and Mac kissing danced in her head.
And Mac in her nightgown and Harm in his tomcat pajama pants had just settled down for a pre-Christmas nap. All of a sudden there was a noise and Harm sprang up from the bed to see what was the matter. He pulled open the curtains, threw up the shade, and opened the window to look outside.
And what should to his eyes appear but Santa and his 8 reindeer!
On the roof they landed, the jolly old elf and his team, nimble as you please.
Waking Mac Harm watched in amazement as he went down the chimney with a bound.
Sneaking downstairs, quiet like mice they watched as Santa piled gifts under the tree. The newlyweds stood in awe as they watched him fill the Christmas socks on the fireplace mantle.
A creaking floor caused Santa to whirl and as he saw what made the noise his face broke out in to an almost flyboy-like smile. He gestured them near and they began to smile with Christmas cheer.
"Happy Christmas to you and I bring you good news. For while I'm done here tonight next year there will be another stocking for me to fill." At their gasps of surprise and delight he grinned wider and laying a finger a side of his nose, Up the chimney he went with a bound.
Harm looked to Mac in aw as she smiled and nodded for in her a new life was blossoming. And as they heard Santa and his team fly away they ran to the windowsill; the family that in June would be three.
And as he flew out of sight they could hear his cheer-filled voice. "Happy Christmas to all and peace on Earth in the upcoming new year!"
And the Marine and the Sailor returned to bed, their dreams filled with visions of brown-eyed baby Ninja-girls and blue-eyed Flyboys danced in their heads.
The End
