I'm not the kind of girl/ Who should be rudely barging in/ On a white veil occasion/ But you are not the kind of boy/ Who should be marrying the wrong girl/ I sneak in and see your friends/ And her snotty little family/ All dressed in pastel
I snuck in through the back door of the churchand past all of Jasper's friends. I walked past the room where Maria was changing into her wedding gown and saw her mother and sister wearing pastel pink. I nearly gagged. I pulled down my tight, short, black dress and fixed my fishnet under my combat boots.
And she is yelling at a bridesmaid/ Somewhere back inside a room/ Wearing a gown shaped like a pastry/ This is surely not/ What you thought it would be
Maria's dress was shaped like a humongous cupcake. She was yelling at her bridesmaid, telling her that the bouquet was crushed and flowers wilted.
And I lose myself in a daydream/ Where I stand and say Don't say yes, run away now/ I'll meet you when you're out / Of the church at the back door/ Don't wait or say a single vow/ You need to hear me out/ When they said "speak now"
I imagined myself standing up and saying "Don't say yes. Run away. I'll meet you when you're out of the church. Don't wait or say a single vow. You need to hear me out." when they said speak now.
Fond gestures are exchanged/ And the organ starts to play/ A song that sounds like a death march/ And I'm hiding in the curtains/ It seems that I was uninvited/ By your lovely bride to be
I go around to the front of the church to file in with the rest of the crowd, acting as if I were invited. I sat down next to one of Maria's cousins and wait. The flower girls and bridesmaids come down the aisle. The wedding march plays and Maria floats down the aisle. We stand and I alone look to Jasper and he doesn't look very happy. I know he wishes it was me.
She floats down the aisle/ Like a pageant queen./ But I know you wish it was me/ You wish it was me Don't cha?
The preacher started to talk and said, "If anyone objects this marriage, speak now or forever hold your peace."
There's silence. I know it's my last chance. I slowly stand and everyone stares. My hands are shaking and there are horrified looks around the entire room. Maria looks pissed. I smile and look to Jasper.
I hear the preacher say/ "Speak now or forever hold your peace"/ There's the silence, there's my last chance/ I stand up with shaking hands, all eyes on me/ Horrified looks from/ Everyone in the room/ But I'm only looking at you.
"I'm not the kind of girl who rudely barges in on a white veil occasion. But you're NOT the kind of boy who should marry the wrong girl. Don't say yes. Run away. I'll meet you when you're out of the church. Don't wait or say a single vow. You need to hear me out. Now they've said 'Speak Now.'" I told him.
Maria's anger grew.
I am not the kind of girl/ Who should be rudely barging in/ On a white veil occasion/ But you are NOT the kind of boy/ Who should be marrying the wrong girl!/ So don't say yes, run away now/ I'll meet you when you're out/ Of the church at the back door/ Don't wait or say a single vow/ You need to hear me out/ When they, said, "speak, now"
Jasper walked down the aisle to me and taking my hands, pulled me from the bench. He said, "Let's run away. I'll meet you when I'm out of my tux. At the back door. Baby, I didn't say my vows. I'm glad you were around when they said 'Speak Now.'"
I smiled and he reached down and kissed me. Maria screamed in frustration. Jasper took my hand and we ran out the door.
And you Say/ Let's run away now/ I'll meet you when/ I'm out of my tux at the back door/ Baby, I didn't say my vows/ So glad you were around when they said/ "Speak now"
Pretty Please review! I absolutely love Jasper/Alice. Don't be to harsh with reviews please!
