Three Kings of Legends

Prologue

Disclaimer: I do not own Pair of Kings.

It's been five years after the defeat of Kaita, and the kings and friends all thought they were living happily ever after. That mostly was because it all was going well, even if Brady still hadn't returned. Lanny had decided not to return to his Lanada and he stayed at the palace instead. He acted nicer than he ever acted, and he even dumped the monster he called 'Yamakoshi' in the ocean as a sign that he could forget the past and reconnect with his relatives and could possibly make friends. Mikayla had found someone to be happy with on the island, since Brady wouldn't return according to his last letter. Her husband owned a weapon store and she still worked for the kings. Mason was being respected by the ings, finally, and gave some of his tasks to Mikayla, so she could become their next advisor. And Boomer? When Rebecca chose to stay on the island, regardless of what her father wanted, they started dating again and two years ago, Boomer proposed to her. They married and after three years of marriage, she now was expecting twins.

Now I haven't talked about Boz. There's no need to, because he hadn't really changed after Kaita.

Well, he had changed, but not as much as the others. He was still single (he found Candis was kind of repulsive) and enjoyed hanging around in the jungle. But he did become a bit calmer, he almost made use of his abilities anymore, but he still was co-king, unofficially. He had abdicated the throne too Boomer, but his brother wouldn't let him do that - at least, not until his kids were born.

Sometimes, Boz wondered how his triplet brother Brady had gone through his limited time on Kinkow. Rebecca and Boomer told the redhead he was pretty cool, Mason described him as the boy he thought was one of the Kings of Legend, Lanny would tell him he didn't like the black-haired boy at all and when Boz began to talk about Brady whenever Mikayla was around, she would be devastated and would think it's her fault he left. Boz tries not to talk about him when she's around, but after Boomer had told him Brady had a huge crush on Mikayla, he respected her choice and shut his mouth about him when she would be closeby.

He had something important to do. He left his private room in the castle and jogged into the jungle, the place he called home for at least ten year. Before he even knew it, he was running on the ground that once was covered in darkness, and it was called the Dark Side. It didn't exist anymore now, and some creatures have made it their home (with the exception of the Tarantula people) but it would never be dangerous anymore. Boz didn't really notice anything in the environment, but he did notice his final destination: Mount Spew. Nowadays, it was forbidden territory for everyone, but for something Mikayla hid there for their own safety. Boz knew she placed it there - he figured it out by accident - and knew where she hid it. He never really had the intention to use it, until now.

He walked through the dangerous passages through the volcano, hopefully going the right way, until he reached the end of a long hallway with at the end a locked box. When he finally had reached the box and looked at it, he got a bad feeling. Maybe he shouldn't do this. He had learned a long time ago not to let his curiosity lead him, and this is exactly what was going on. Boz was curious about Brady's life on Kinkow, that's what drove him to go to forbidden territory and find something a trusted friend hid for their own safety. He shook his head - Just do it! - and took the key out of his pocket. Yes he stole the key. No, he didn't really feel guilty. At least, he didn't when he saw the thing Mikayla had hidden.

It was a simple Do-Over watch, like the one Brady and Boomer once used. But they hadn't known how to use it. they simple-mindedly said do over; to work with one, you had to be trained. It could be a weapon in evil hands, and could be an ittem of greatness to those who would use it well. Boz had the intention to travel back in time with it, like that thingamajig from the HP series. He had been training himself, and hoped he was ready to use it for greatness.

For now, he left it in the box and checked the backpack he had brought with him. He wasn't going to leave unprepared, so he already made his bag for when he decided to leave and stuffed it with the necessary stuff. There were diary entries from Mikayla, and notes from Mason and Lanny, all three about the kings and certain events. He also brought some of his personal belongings with him, like his ID-card, his wallet and phone, all with the newest songs which - when in the past - would come out eight years later, and off course a picture of him and Boomer.

He placed the bag on his back again, and turned his head to where he thought the palace would be. "I'm sorry, guys," he whispered. He was actually breaking the law by entering forbidden territory, and by travelling back in time. The latter sounded much worse. He had to relive eight years of his life, of which three years with both his triplet-brothers and the dangerous Dark Side. There was no turning back now. It probably wouldn't be so bad as he expected. He would just spend eight more years with both his brothers who weren't even allowed to know who he truly was, and they wouldn' because of the eight-year-gap.

"Do over." Boz whispered, closing his eyes so he wouldn't have to see how the environment changed from Mount Spew to the castle. But even if he couldn't see it, he could always feel it. He was leaving.

Back to the place where their story would begin…

Hey everyone! I've been wanting to do this in a long time. My idea: Boz has gone to the past, eight years ago, when Brady and Boomer come to Kinkow and meet everyone for the first time, and Boz practically be there with his knowledge of what could happen. Please tell me if this sucks or if this is good, but also please be nice to me - I'm new to this site and this is my first fanfic ever. R&R
