"Mommy, why do we have two daddies?" Six year old Lila Lupin-Black asked her mother, who suddenly looked very shocked.

"What makes you ask such a question, my little butterfly?" Hermione asked.

"Because some of the kids at school say that me and John-John are weird because we have a mommy and two daddies." Lila replied with a frown.

"Oh sweetheart, there's nothing weird about having a mommy and two daddies, or just two mommies or two daddies, or even having two mommies and one daddy. Every family is different and as long as everyone in the family is happy, and loves each other then there's nothing wrong with it." Hermione said, trying to curb her daughter's fears.

"Rosalyn has two daddies," Lila said thoughtfully, "And Derrick has two mommies and one daddy," she continued.

Hermione sat back in her chair and watched her little girl reason out her family in her head.

Lila popped up from the spot she had been sitting, playing with her dolls, and looked at her mother. "I'm happy, and you and papa and daddy are happy, so I'm going to go ask John-John if he's happy, and if he is, then everything is OK," She said with a grin, before taking off to find her brother.
