Another Chance
There she lied on the cold ground. Her sister sat beside her, a stream of tears finding its way down her rosy cheeks. Her bloody body sat there limp and lifeless as her sister's back arched forward and leaned over the dead corpse. Sobs of grief and moans filled with pain and sadness echoed down the dark and distant streets. Inquisitive people who heard the loud cries began to crowd around the scene. Suddenly, the sister threw her head backwards and screamed the departed girl's name. The crowd slowly moved backwards as the sister stood up. The clear blue eyes stained with misery, her beating heart loaded with a feeling of nothingness. She knew deep inside that the deceased sister would never arise again. Soft murmurs and curious whispers could be heard all around. The sister, Amy, turned around to face the throng of people. Her once blue eyes started to glow a dangerous fiery red as she wrapped her thin, pale fingers into two solid fists. Her bony elbows bent and the round fists came dangerously close to her pallid face. The mass of gatherers screamed and ran for their dear lives. Amy closed her burning eyes and shrieked as she felt the pain she once knew befall her. If no one stopped her,
She could kill.
Amy fell to her knees on the stony ground floor, her long fingers grasping her head. She screamed out in agony. When was the pain going to come to an end?
Soon hopefully.
The creature would come. There was no hope. Amy thought correctly.
The monster leapt out of her ashen skin. She cried out in fear for her life, for the lives of the people, and for the good will of God.
