I better tell you where this all came up… I love Toby Keith… I love him to death… and so I was listening to song's written by him… and 'Should've Been A Cowboy' came on… and all I could think of was Avan Jogia in a cowboy hat and acting like one… so I had to write it down… so here you go! I own nothing! And PS… I love country music…
Beck's POV
I hate country music. I hate it with a passion… so you could imagine why I so pissed off at my girlfriend for leaving Toby Keith in my cd player. I was going to clean up my RV, and wanted to play music. I turned my cd player and all the sudden I hear
'Should've been a cowboy, should've learn to rope and ride…'
Then I got to thinking… what if I was a cowboy?
In the old town of San Francisco, Beckett Oliver was standing with Victoria Vega, the sheriffs daughter.
"Oh Beckett… when will I see you again?" Victoria asked
"I don't know darlin, but it might not be for a while," Beckett said
"Oh Beckett… please don't go…" cried Victoria
Beckett stole a kiss and got on his house… then rode off. Victoria followed him for a few feet, but stopped and watched as her love rode off…
All Beckett Oliver ever wanted to do was go to the gold mines… get rich fast. Because everyone California is full whiskey, woman, beer and gold, every man's dream. Beckett could steal girls heart, then disappear, he could find gold, get rich fast, spend every night outside, under the California stars, singing redneck songs with all his drunk cowboy friends.
He could save a town from a cattle rusher. He could save a damsel in distress. He could do anything…
He could've had a sidekick… named Robert Shapiro, he could've learn how to ride a horse, while shooting a six shooter. He could've ridden his horse during a cattle drive…
A knock on my RV door snapped me out of my thoughts. I opened my door to find my girlfriend, Tori Vega, standing there.
"Next time you leave music at my RV… make sure it's good music…" I said shoving the cd in her hands
So next time you leave a Toby Keith cd at your boyfriends house... make sure he isn't pretending to be a cowboy while listening to this song. I hope you liked it!
