Beach
Spock rarely took shore leave. However, sitting on a blanket on the beach watching Tami swim in the ocean was worthwhile. He could only agree with Dr. McCoy when he had said Tami needed some time away from the ship.
"Hey," his girlfriend interrupted his thoughts. She took her towel, dried off and sat down beside him. "Whatcha doin'?"
"Contemplating."
"Penny for your thoughts?"
Spock looked into the distance. "I find this quite pleasant and do not regret beaming down with you."
She smiled gently and stretched out on her back. "Thanks for taking me along."
He took in her black monokini. Its cut complimented her curves nicely. "It is my pleasure."
She held out the sunscreen to him. "Help me reapply it?"
Spock nodded and she rolled over. He put the thick cream on her back and thoroughly massaged it in. She sighed. "Your hands are heaven."
He did the back of her legs, pinching her thigh just to tease her, earning a startled yelp, before doing her calves. "Roll over and sit up."
She rolled her eyes with a smile. "I am not a child. I can do my front by myself, you know."
Spock just continued applying sunscreen. "I enjoy touching you," he admitted quietly.
She looked around to ascertain whether the others could see them. When she was certain they could not, she tapped his nose. "I'd be concerned if you didn't."
He regarded her fondly. "You look quite appealing in your current attire"
She laughed. "You men really are the same."
He raised an eyebrow, his lips forming a barely there smile. "I cannot condemn your then boyfriend for his taste in women."
She leaned her head against his shoulder with a heavy sigh. "Do you still miss home?"
Another sigh. "Sometimes. Sorry."
"Do not apologize. It takes time to adjust to such a radical change. You are doing remarkably well."
She looked at him doubtfully through blond lashes. In this moment, he decided to throw his reservations to the wind. He took hold of her chin and kissed her on the lips. Her eyes widened in surprise but then closed. When he pulled away, she smiled in confusion. "Spock… I thought…"
"We are currently alone. You appeared to need it."
Her smile brightened and she kissed his cheek. "Danke."
He tilted his head in acknowledgement. He looked out at the water before standing up and undressing down to his swimwear. He held his hand out. "Come and join me for a swim?"
She grinned in delight, jumped up and took his hand. He squeezed her hand gently and together they walked into the ocean.
Now that the exams are over and I am a state certified translator, I had some time and a visit to a bathing beach inspired me to write this. I hope you liked it.
