Frollo walks up his way to Notre Dame to get answers from the Archdeacon. He recalls on his mind on that day when he met Esmeralda, a gypsy woman. She's not just any gypsy, but she's a witch by his point of view. The incident in the Festival of Fools really made him mad enough to put her behind bars for making such mess. On a further note, since she has stepped on Notre Dame for sanctuary, he is not allowed to get her; unfortunately, if she sets her foot outside, he'll get her, putting her on a dead end.

This is not important to him at this very moment. He walks up to the Archdeacon, the clergyman of Notre Dame. As he looked at him in the eyes, Frollo recalls he was the one who get him to spare Quasimodo's life 20 years ago when he tried to kill him by dropping him to a well. That way, his soul can be saved by such action.

"Archdeacon, I need to confess right now!"

The Archdeacon directs Frollo to a confessional somewhere near the altar. In it, the former is on the right to listen while the latter is on the left to confess.

"What did you do this time, Frollo?" asked the Archdeacon.

"When you turn away from that gypsy woman named Esmeralda," Frollo answered truthfully, putting his head to face the man he will confess. He knows that in a confession, he must speak of the truth. "I sneak on her from behind and started to grope her."

Those words coming out of his mouth have put the Archdeacon's face to a shock. He just can't believe Frollo just committed a sin of disobeying his rule that when someone has sanctuary in Notre Dame, he can't get that person.

"I see," he said.

"Then it gets worse," Frollo started.

"Worse? How?"

"I'm having this burning desire of being with her. I wanted her flesh. I got a feeling she has placed me on some spell that I could lead my soul to Hell."

The Archdeacon knows very well what that is. It's the deadly sin of lust, one of the seven deadly sins known to the world. This one can place Frollo's soul into eternal damnation in Hell.

"Well, Frollo, looks like you have lust for this woman."

"I know," Frollo placing his head in shame for such thing. "What can I do to stand against such thing?"

"Then forget about your obsession with that gypsy. Let that go over your head. Do not let yourself be tempted by this. If you want to save your soul, don't give in. Fight the devil, your tempter. You should know better that man can save his own soul from that."

"Okay."

"Now for your absolution..."

After this absolution, Frollo returns back to Palace of Justice, hoping the confession would give him peace.
