A/N: To those of you that have read People Like Us I greatly apologize. My writing binder was stolen at work or school ad I am now forced to rewrite five chapters. The two I have at the moment are slightly rushed and generally disgraceful, but I will correct this error as soon as is immortally possible.

Prologue
Gore, Die, Death, Ether.
Matching sets of crystal blue eyes flashed in annoyance as the words "Where the hell is he?" were grumbled in unison. The red veil of hair parted as the third among them looked up.
"Don't look at me! I called him this morning." At that clichéd moment, the door opened, and the boy in question appeared, flushed and bright eyed. The girls understood instantly.
"I doubt you ran here…" her twin continued for her.
"…So who is he?" The boy's face split in a grin.
"I'll tell you later. We have work to do."
Gregory Sanders, Odile and Odette Thénardier, and Heather Lauds had been best friends since the age of 11. They had all always been loners. They were smart, artistic, clinically depressed, strange. They formed a club of sorts. Just the four of them and all the odd things they loved. There, they were called Gore, Die, Death, and Ether. These names were secret, never used in the outside world. As for their looks, at 14 years of age, they were unimaginably odd to everyone else. Greg's hair was multicoloured and spiked and, if it wasn't for his weird tastes and sharp mind, would have been fawned over by the schools prettiest cheerleaders. Not that it would have mattered. Greg didn't swing that way. Lady H had vibrant red hair and piercing eyes, coupled with an iron will yet a soothing black widow voice. Dee and Ode were identical twins, yet not. Their build was the same, their faces were the same, though Dee had a freckle just under her mouth, their eyes were the same colour, the slight protrusion of wings at their shoulder blades were the same size and shape. The difference lay in their minds, physically, in their hair. Where Odette's was black with two pure white streaks Odile's was silvery with black stripes that shone purple and blue. It was like they had merges and separated, leaving pieces behind. Gregory, Greg, Gore. Odile, Dee, Die. Odette, Ode, Death. Heather, Lady H, Ether.
