Summary:
Wilson is sick of being a logical man.

James Wilson has always considered himself to be a logical man, patient, perhaps even kind. He took care of people, gave them everything he thought they would need and everything they could want.

It is a behaviour several people have tried to break him of, including his wife because she is a fighter. She likes to argue instead of being appeased. He doesn't like the thought of arguing with her, so instead of doing so he buys her things, tries to please her.

His marriage is in shambles.

House mocks him but he can't care now.

His life has become a series of reckless moments that he isn't sure how to control.

Sometimes he figures it is easiest to blame House. House, who drinks far too much and drives far too fast and has sex with too many nameless women, men too.

House is the most reckless person Wilson has ever known, yet he is also one of the kindest.

Most people would laugh if they were to hear him say that but it's the truth in Wilson's eyes. He has seen House spin some rather elaborate lies, plots and much more to help a patient.

His want to cure people might be because of his love of puzzles but his ability to cure people is what makes him kind in Wilson's view.

Wilson is recklessly attracted to House, in ways he has never been able to understand fully. He has done everything, absolutely everything for the other man.

Supplied drugs, cleaned up his vomit, he has even wiped House's ass for him from time to time when the other man was too sick from too much drugs to move.

He is a doctor, yet he doesn't know how to cure his best friend. His best friend has no want to cure himself.

Reckless...

Wilson finds himself wanting to be a little more reckless as of late.

"What are you doing tonight?" Wilson asks House one day, standing in front of his desk with an almost anxious expression on his face.

House arches an eyebrow, "Why do you want to know?" he questions in reply, his mind already beginning to work, Wilson can see it behind his eyes, hell, sometimes he thinks he can hear the wheels and cogs turning.

Wilson can't help but roll his eyes, having realized this wasn't going to be an easy operation. "I thought we could do something," he explains, hoping against reason that the explanation will be enough even though he knows it most likely won't.

"Like what?" and logical Wilson won again, he knew House wouldn't accept an unreasonable explanation.

"I don't know, anything but sitting alone in your apartment drinking too much alcohol and playing the piano while you mourn everything you've lost in your life," Wilson responds, his brain playing games with his mouth.

House arches both eyebrows this time, squinting at him as though he thinks that Wilson must have some kind of illness and he's trying to figure out what exactly it is.

"I'm trying to be reckless," Wilson finds himself admitting, albeit a little bit hopelessly. "I want to be reckless."

"You're doing a piss poor job of it," House responds, but there is a sparkle to his eyes, and a smirk on his face.

Wilson grins, "What if I told you the only reason I wanted to hang out with you tonight is so we could drink lots of alcohol and eventually end up in bed together."

House got to his feet, chuckling. "Here is the deal, when you're trying to be reckless you don't let the other person know your plan," he headed out the door then turned to look at Wilson.

"What?" Wilson asks, confused at the look on his face.

"Are you coming? We can stop at the liquor store on the way home," House responds, his eyes flashing.
