"I did not!" Frenzy shouted. "You were the one messing with it!" Laserbeak sighed and flew to where the twins were arguing. They stopped as soon as they heard him coming, which meant it was really bad.
He entered the room they were in, and didn't immediately see anything amiss. "Okay, what happened?" he asked. The red and blue Minicons looked at each other, and then back at him.
"We don't know what you're talking about, Laserbeak," Rumble replied politely. Too politely. "We're just having an argument about things you'd be bored by."
"Like you breaking things? C'mon, mechs, I'm not a moron," Laserbeak retorted.
"Well, a complete one anyway..." Frenzy muttered. Rumble snickered, and Laserbeak reminded himself that any injuries to these two were gonna have to be explained to Nikki and it wasn't worth the reprimand.
Yet.
"What'd you break?" Laserbeak demanded. If he'd had servos to cross, he would've.
"Nothing!" they explained in unison. Laserbeak arched an optic ridge so perfectly, he was secretly proud of himself.
"Well, nothing important," Frenzy finally added. Laserbeak sighed again. "We can fix it, we swear!"
"If it's Nikki's, you don't wanna try fixing it. Same goes for Stark's stuff, and Pym's stuff...basically if it's something the Science Team built or repaired or whatever, don't touch it. Don't try to fix it, don't go near it, don't even look at it. Just turn yourselves in and let them handle it," Laserbeak ordered. Advised? Whatever.
"It's...not...theirs..." Rumble said hesitantly. "But it's not major!" Frenzy elbowed his twin, and Rumble glared at him as he rubbed the spot.
"What. Is. It?" Laserbeak asked firmly, getting annoyed. The two stepped aside at the same time to reveal...
An damaged buffer. Damaged almost beyond repair. Knock Out's buffer.
Laserbeak's optics went wide and he moved back. "I'm not involved. Go get help from anyone else. The only help I'm giving you is that you guys need this fixed fast and telling Nikki would be a good idea. I'm out."
And with that, he zipped off at top speed, getting as far away from it as possible, because he knew those two weren't gonna get help; they were just gonna try to hide it and themselves.
He was proven right, because a few hours later... "What happened to my buffer?!" Yeah, they were so dead.
