Author notes: No no no they are not mine...

I hope you will enjoy my story. Good reading.

As you look into the mirror, you don't like what you see. And it frustrates you to no end because it's not the way you should feel. You should be excited and the most happiest woman on Earth. But you are not. At least you don't think so. You are not sure how happy feels anymore. You haven't been happy in a very long time.

You stare at yourself. You wear a beautiful white dress which fits you perfectly, your hair is down, diamond earrings in you ears. You look beautiful.

But something is not right. There is an ache in your heart. Deep down, a little but constant pain. Not the way you should feel on your wedding day. You feel guilty but you can't help yourself.

David is waiting for you in the next room, waiting to make you his...

As the music begins, you turn around, plaster a smile on your face and trying desperately not to think about him. Still as you walk through the door your thoughts turn back to him. To the stubborn, arrogant jackass who has been in your mind for 23 years and unfortunately in your heart too. You can still feel his caresses, his kisses on your lips even though it has been years since he touched you. It's burning in your mind and in your heart.

As you walk down the aisle your eyes are searching him even though you know he is not here. Your heart sinks because knowing and seeing or in this case not seeing are two different things.

You wish things were different. That he would be the one waiting for you in his tuxedo and with a smug grin on his face admiring your beauty. But you know it is not what will happen.

Him and you... Well sometimes love is just not enough. At least it wasn't enough for the two of you. Things were too complicated or you were too complicated. You were too tired of fighting and he would never or could never give you what you wanted. What he thought you wanted. Either way it doesn't matter now. Nothing will ever be the same.

When you finally reached David, your eyes were glistening from unshed tears.

When the rabbi finished his speech you looked into your groom's eyes. That was the moment when you could calm yourself, because although he is not the love of your life, you will live with a man who has the same piercing blue eyes every day in your life.

And finally you could smile a real smile.
