Um... so I was unhappy with the results of this, since alot of people (okay, one person so far) have requested I do more with this, and I wanted to make it better and grab people's attention better. If I screwed anything up, please tell me! I don't want to be an idiot with a sh!tty story. This is the last time I rewrite this, as I'm writing a sequel to this, which will be up when I'm satisfied with how it reads out.

Mordecai's POV
After wailing on Sal for stealing all my booze and chewing out Axton for helping the leg humper, I decided to go out to the Dust and see if I can capture a few crates of liquor. Sal brushed it off when I confronted him, but of course, I let my anger get the best of me. I grabbed his shoulder with one hand and using my other hand to punch him in the gut. Axton ran into the room and started laughing as Sal and I fought, urging one of us to fight harder than the other. I ended it by head-butting him and standing up, pinching the bridge of my bloody nose. I stood up to see Axton still laughing at us and I felt more anger flare.
"Man! I've never seen someone go down that quick!" Axton said as he held his sides.
"You're not out of the clearing either, idiot." I growled at Axton as I brushed past him. I walked to Pierce Station, looking over my shoulder and saw Zer0 and Gaige holding hands as they walked around, Gaige's cheeks were a crimson red and Zer0's free hand was twitching. I smiled to myself, happy to see a cold-blooded assassin and a sweet, some-what innocent girl together in peace. Deep down, I hoped for something like that, but what I thought was happiness was either betrayal or heart break. Zer0 flashed a smiling emoji at me and giving a thumbs up. I smiled in response and watched them walk by, feeling the bitter side of my mind going off again. I don't know when it started up, but I had a feeling it was when Moxxi broke it off with me to be with Jack.
Watch all you want, lover boy, 'cause you ain't getting anything like that.
I sighed and walked into the station to take the fast travel network to the Dust, where I would steal home-made alcohol and drink till I couldn't remember my name. I looked out the window and saw Zer0 kiss Gaige, her cheeks bright pink, his helmet gone, and both looked jittery from nerves. I gave a short laugh and yet felt that awful ping in my chest as they both pulled away, looking like bashful teenagers. I shook my head and plugged in my coordinates to the Dust.

I swore horrifically as the moonshiner van passed me while my back tire was stuck on a skag's head. I groaned in frustration and banged my fist on the steering wheel. The driver stopped to laughed at me, causing me to act without thinking. I got out of my runner, whipped out my Dahl pistol and shot him, hitting the side of his arm three times in the same place, embedding the bullet before it deeper into his arm. I glared in victory, holding my hands at my side with my palms up, the ring around the trigger resting on my index finger.
"I still got it." I muttered, a smirk coming up across my face. The driver got out of his van, clearly pissed and wielding a sub-machine gun.
"You're gonna regret that, you piece of skag meat!" He yelled as he fumbled to hold his gun up. I laughed heartily and threw my hand up, aiming carefully at his head for a mere second before pulling the trigger and watching his head explode, brains and blood staining the sand. The gun had recoiled just right so could see the smoking barrel at the corner of my eye. I walked around the back to steal crates and throw them in the back of the Technical without a second thought.
I turned my attention to the dying sun for a few minutes, trying to figure out how late it was. I stood there on top of the van, letting the breeze dance around me as I just let my mind wander. I removed my goggles and was disappointed with the new perspective.
"I wish I could see the sunset." I muttered. I placed my goggles back over my eyes, colors swarming back into my eyes. I've had these goggles since I lost the ability to see the spectrum. They helped some-what, but I wanted to see everything for myself.
Yeah, so you can imagine what it's like to hold the one you love while basking in the dying light, am I right asshole?
"I'd say go fuck off, but I'd be considered crazy." I muttered. The voice laughed darkly while I cut the ropes securing the crates. "Who am I kidding? I'm going insane already..."
Like Tannis.
"Okay, now you're just pushing it." I growled as I settled myself behind the wheel once more.

I was about to pass a bandit camp, praying to who ever is up in the clouds or down below that no psychos or marauders tried anything on me. I didn't really have the energy to deal with that. I creeped along, my eyes trained on the rusted platforms and rickty huts, trying to detect any signs of life. I stopped when I wasn't met with the usual hail of bullets and nasty taunts. Something was off; no one passes by a bandit camp without getting at least shot at once.
Maybe someone had killed them off and no one has come by to claim the town. I kept looking when I finally saw a girl, just sitting in the middle of the carnage. Bodies were either burnt, corroded, slagged, or cackling with electricity and the girl just sat there, legs crossed, holding something up to her face. I stood there staring, wondering why one would meditate in the middle of a bloody scene.
I walked closer to her with my pistol drawn but held at my side, taking cautious steps with every single one of my nerves on end. The girl raised her head, shaking away the long, eridium purple hair that masked her face. I held my breath as my heart stopped; she had large, brown eyes, a small smile that never seemed to waver, and sun kissed skin with slight freckles dotting her cheek bones. She was holding an egg that looked almost exactly like Bloodwing's egg when she was just a hatchling. I could see blood smeared on her face and body, making me want to shoot, but she hasn't given me a reason to.
"Are you okay?" I asked, crouching down a good distance away to see more of her face. She nodded her head, her lips parting slightly as she looked around.
"I'm fine, just tired." She said, her voice was sweet yet mischievous. It was borderline playful. "Where the hell am I?" She asked more to herself than anything else. Okay, so she was from somewhere else, or has amnesia. I'm leaning towards my first thought. Maybe both.
"You're on Pandora." I said, noticing blue tattoos on the right side of her body that could only belong to a Siren. She was wearing a white t-shirt with bold black letters that said "F.T.W.W.W" with the neck scooped low and was ripped at the bottom, her denim vest with angel wings sown on the back dirty and covered in blood. She wore black jean shorts that were torn and frayed, exposing garter belts holding up her black stockings with yellow pinstripes, a pair of raggedy black and white high tops looked ready to fall apart from her feet.
"Huh, I guess the bitch actually did it." She growled after taking a minute to compose herself, her beautiful brown eyes growing darker, almost black.
"Uh, am I missing something?" I asked, holstering my pistol. I didn't see a threat and she didn't try to kill me. I figured that's a good start.
"Nothing." She said, shaking her head and holding up the egg again. "Do you know what this is? I had this on me when I woke up. The shell's broken, so I'm thinking that whatever's in here is a goner." She said, holding it towards me. I held it and it felt warm, reminding me when I found Bloodwing when I was a kid. The way she poked her head out of the shell and gave a shriek. At that moment, I knew I was in love. I found Blood in an abandoned nest far from my house and I hid her from my mother for years until I left.
The top of the shell broke and a feathered head popped out, squawking up at me, causing me to smile wildly. I could see the memory clear, as if I was that same young boy poking around in that abandoned nest. The girl smiled too, her eyes sparkling in the dying afternoon light which took my breath away. I broke the shell away, holding the soft hatchling in my hands, feeling as if I had Bloodwing back. I looked back up at the girl and was about to ask her what happened when her eyes growing hazy and she was a sickly pale. She muttered something incoherent when she collapsed in the dirt, her purple hair splayed. I started swearing, trying to figure out what to do.
"Shit..." I muttered, placing the bird on my shoulder before carrying the girl bridal style. Even though she was unconscious, she still had that cute small smile stuck to her dusty rose lips. SNAP OUT OF IT! You just met the girl and you're already falling for her? You seriously have some issues...
"I need to stop drinking...so much." I said, walking to my Technical to get the girl out of the Dust and to Zed. I sat behind the wheel first, adjusting the girl to sit sideways on my lap. God this was so awkward, I shouldn't even be doing this, but I knew I had to. She was a Siren and only six can exist at any given time.
Cool, drop the bitch and get out of here!
"Oh, fuck off!" I groaned as I finally got us situated. There was no way that I was gonna have her in the gunner seat and risk her falling out. I took a deep breath before hitting the gas and speeding off to the nearest Fast Travel Station, hoping that this Siren will make it.
