It was never quite easy for Albus Severus Potter.
Of course, being the child of the saviours of the wizarding world is never easy.
Every move they make, even after 19 years, is almost always documented. There was even a time, believe it or not, when the waning Daily Prophet ran a story on what the Potters had for supper. Meanwhile the mass-favorite Quibbler would put them on the front page for no reason from time to time.
They were educated at home, all three of them. So there was never really a chance for Albus to meet new friends, save for his cousins, if you count them.
Being the middle child, he was neither praised nor ignored. His mother even forgot his name one time while giving him a bath. (He swears he doesn't remember this incident) Although he always felt that his father gives him special attention, as proven by their annual summertime flying lessons when James is at some friend's home.
Being the introvert that he is, he has spent most of his time reading books and practicing wand-waving motions with a dry twig in their back garden. He has yet to go to Hogwarts, but Albus knows more about the school than an average seventh year would. He has been preparing for Hogwarts the very day he heard of it.
