Hi, everyone. For those who are new to my stories, I'm Annie, aka. The Half-Breed. And for those who do know of me, I'm sorry for the long wait. I bear no excuses. It just took time for me to become refocused and given to work harder, faster and stronger than ever before. Hopefully the stories that I produce now will be seen as worth the wait. :)

Now that all of that is taken care of, I hope you enjoy the beginning chapter. It's pretty short and sweet. I hope all of you enjoy it anyways.

Hugs and kisses.

I own Rose Kuro and a few other characters in this story. The rest aren't mine. :P

'So this is what death feels like.'

Rose stared at the mute looking sky, dotted with specks of hindered souls that lingered forever above the heads of the living, many the victim of her bloodlust.

Would they accept her when she joins them soon?

She shook her head, forcing those hopeful thoughts away. Thoughts of acceptance were too much to think about, even amongst the stars that lingered above the desert. More blood clung her hair, spreading the damp liquid farther along the sand. The taste of metal rattled in her mouth. Her parted lips cracked from lack of water and constant sunlight beaming down.

No one had passed by her. Or noticed the bloody footprints leading there. At least she thought so. If they did she would like to think she wouldn't be here, thinking about her family and death, laying in the crimson sand that felt hard as rocks, with nothing but harsh winds as company.

Death roamed closer. Nipping at her heels. But Rose accepted her fate. She couldn't help but think maybe she was meant to die this way, by the hands of a killer. One just like her. Maybe this is her victims getting back at her, erupting the idea of killing her in fathers mind.

Inception. Or whatever they call it.

Something moved in the distance. A grainy texture wrapped around her legs and body. She wondered what it was, as her eyes eased closed and the world she once adored morphed into darkness.
