Written for 10 Characters, 10 Prompts - Challenge and Back From The Dead Challenge.

Tonks woke up and for a minute she wasn't sad. For a minute, she forgot all about Remus and how he wasn't with her anymore. Forgot that Remus was dead and gone and buried. Forgot that she wasn't with him.

The only thing that made her glad that she wasn't with him was Teddy.

Teddy.

Her son was the one thing in life that didn't feel like some cumbersome task that she had to get through to prove she was fine even though everyone knew she wasn't. Tonks didn't know where she would be without her son, but she knew it would be nowhere good.

Tonks had been in a coma for three weeks after the Battle of Hogwarts and as soon as she woke up, she knew what had happened to Remus. She had felt in her bones, before she had even looked into Harry's face and saw the agonizing truth. She immediately asked for her son. His safety was the only thing she needed know right now. He was the only thing she wanted.

When Teddy is in his "normal" mode, he looked just like Remus with light brown hair and bright hazel eyes. He was always in his normal mode around her. She wondered how much Teddy knew, despite being only three months old. How much pain he knew she was in? How much he wanted to make her feel better?

Tonks didn't want to feel better, but she would feel better for Teddy. It wasn't his job to make her feel better.

Tonks heard a knock on her door. It was either her mother or Harry, Teddy with them because they knew it was the only way to get her up. The only way to make her feel useful. She hated them for using her son against her. She hated herself for allowing them to do it.

She got out of bed.
