"Going through my boss's laundry," Darcy muttered to herself as she dug through the pile of freshly cleaned and returned clothes. "I didn't have to do this when I worked for Jane. Which I'm glad, but still. Coulson's underwear, a bit scary. How many pair of Captain America boxers can one guy have anyway?"

"Okay, not in the recently returned. On to Coulson's closet. I really need to start thinking of you as Phil," Darcy continued talking to herself as she opened the closet to see an immaculately organized closet. Everything hung up and separated properly. "Phil... Phil... Phil... Just too odd. Coulson. Much better. Coulson you're one anal dude. Now where is that tie you need."

The closet proved fruitless as had the freshly returned laundry and Darcy was not the least bit happy. "You need that tie. Okay, it's a special tie. It's a memento so... Ah!" Darcy began to slowly pick around the only part of Coulson's room that looked even the slightest bit of clutter. Mementos of his family and childhood scattered in one little area like a shrine. A photo of him as a little kid with a garbage can lid painted like Captain America's shield. One of the first edition comics of Captain America. The place for his Captain America cards lying empty. And finally Darcy spotted it. A little box, just big enough for a tie display. Opening it confirmed it was an American flag motiffed tie with Captain America's shield on it. Coulson had once told her it was a present from his mom and he'd had it so far before Darcy was born it wasn't even funny.

"Thought you'd escape, hah. Coulson needs you, today is very important." With a quick, but gentle, yank the tie left it's box and Darcy was running through the helicarrier to see her boss and heaven help any lowly interns than got in her way.

She rushed into the room and there he was, just the two of them now. She fussed over him quickly. Putting the tie on him and making sure his hair was perfect. She gave him a watery smile as she pulled out her iPod and put in his jacket pocket. "Now you look perfect bossman. I know this is how you'd want them to remember you by." She gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. "I have to get ready for your Viewing. I'll be back then. I'll try to make you proud and not be the first to cry."

Darcy tried her best to not be the first one to cry at Agent Coulson's viewing and managed it barely. She couldn't hold on though when the funeral began and she saw the Avengers as his pallbearers. Captain America in the lead.
