They aren't strictly in order of my favourite ships, but you can sort of see how I feel about each of them. These detail how I think these ships would-have/could-have/did start/end. I did save my three favourites for last, though.

Kel/Seaver – 10

There was nothing left for them now except each other.

Kel/Owen – 20

Fire and Ice. He had the excitement, she had the sense. Nobody was surprised when they completely fell to pieces.

Kel/Raoul – 30

Never had the teacher/student relationship taboo been so abused. The old bachelor and the young Squire set for command. Together, they warmed better nights and cooled the flaming lust.

Kel/Dom – 40

To be honest, once it was possible, there was no spark. Friends pushed it, colleagues placed wagers, but once it was allowed, any passions felt for familiar eyes and noses again faded like the summer sun. They never really started.

Kel/Cleon – 50

What had once been her Kryptonite soon faded into the ashes of a lost memory. Heightened passions, urgent kisses, long lost lovers' lamenting sighs and long letters even longer awaited – It all faded to black quickly. The time and space separating them wedged deeper than any wedding vows ever could.

Kel/Joren – 60

Sometimes she wondered how they had started. A fight, she thought, and one of them had accidently loosed the other's clothing. It didn't really matter who had started it, because at the first whisper of bare skin, many other garments were soon flying around the library. They both left bruised and battered, silently cursing, hating and inwardly begging for more.

Kel/Merric – 70

There was a quietness about him. A shyness. When he touched her, he quivered and apologized in fear, while she ached for his hands again. Tobe and those in the building pretended they didn't see them slipping quietly between rooms, and Neal – whose room was between the two Knights – slept through even the most heated of nights. Merric knew that she of all people needed a physical, sexual, emotional outlet.

Kel/Roald – 80

The Gossips couldn't help but whisper – history, it seemed, was repeating itself. This relationship, however, didn't appear to have the cursed hand upon it. The Yamanis took the death of Chisakami a sign, making Roald free to choose his bride. They did not fight with fire, like the couple before them. They were calm and dignified, and kept their passionate love out of the public eye. Alanna and Jon they were not. Unlike the pair before them, their love thrived.

Kel/Neal – 90

He'd loved her quietly for years before they had somehow taken what had seemed like the natural step of taking it to bed. They'd been best friends for so long, he didn't know when it was that he'd actually fallen in love with her. It was just that one day, their differences in ages, their political circumstances, all became less important, and he leaned over to kiss her. Nothing really changed. She still berated him about vegetables, and he still wrote longing poems and sighed into the distance. They just did it these days while holding wedding ring-laden hands.

Kel/Faleron – 100

Everyone has sore spots. Kel was his.

She was clever, and strong. She had determination in her eyes, and warrior in her mind. She wasn't a classic beauty, but she appealed to him. Pretty skirts and flowing hair did not entice him as well as strong shoulders and gleaming eyes, and, of course, her mind startled him.

So he had jumped Garvey because she was his sore spot, because he had no right to speak about her that way, and because while the truth hurts, nothing hurts as much as an enemy waving your completely oblivious greatest desire before you.
