This is a story from my friend Natashia! And we don't own ghost hunt!

Will you leave your friend even if you love him/her? Even if you promised?

I went inside my best friend's door without knocking. I didn't bother since every time I knock, her mom will scold me for it. She said that I'm part of the family now since I'm her daughter's first true friend. My friend was Masako Hara, a famous medium. And that was the only reason her peers befriends with her.

At first, we were enemies because of one guy. We insult each other (she insults me more though) and got into small spat fight but that's what made us close. The guy moved back to his country after he painfully rejected me. Masako comforted me like we were never enemies and we ended up like true and normal best friends. Her insults were still there though except they're less offending.

I turned up the lights in her living room and found her on one of the couches. "Hey, what's up?" she just shrugged and we began chatting, play a little monopoly, and watch movies. It was fun. We were giggling, joking, and almost everything that has 'happy' labeled on it.

Cring. Cring. Their house phone rang. "I'll get it!" I yelled and got up to leave. When I was about to walk, I felt her hands holding on to the hem of my shirt. "What's wrong?" I asked her.

"Don't leave me." she said with a hopeless voice and pleading eyes. She looked like a kid who was begging for their parents not to leave them at the first day of school. I giggled a little.

"I'm just going to answer the phone, Masako." I assured her but she didn't buy it.

"We're friends right? You love me right?" she asked and I smiled at her.

"Of course we're friends and I love you. I actually wish you're my sister so don't worry, I'm just going to answer it and I'll be right back."

"Really?" I nodded. "You promise?"

"I promise." I hugged her then answered the phone. It was Mrs. Hara. "Hey Mrs. Hara! It's me Mai. Do you need something?"

"Mai? Why are you there?" she asked. Her voice sounded hoarse like she just stopped crying hard.

"I was just playing with Masako. Is there something wrong?"

"What do you mean?" she started sobbing. "She just got into an accident a while ago. A studio lighting fell on her." My eyes grew wide and my hands started shaking.

I looked back at Masako and her appearance changed. Blood was covering her face and half of her kimono. She's motioning me over with a grin and mouthed "You promised."
