The pitter-patter pf little feet running around the Tardis console was still a new sound for the Doctor. Olivia had only been born three years ago but it seemed like just yesterday. Of course, her and River didn't stay aboard for the entire time. No, this was no place to raise a child, not with dangerous monsters constantly trying to destroy either him or his wife. Most of the time, Olivia was with her mother in the little cottage on the moon. River had taken some time off from being a professor to be a mom but she just couldn't move too far away from the university. But, sometimes, the Doctor would pop up and whisk them both away for an adventure, a safe one too. Olivia especially loved to try and pilot the Tardis on her own, even though River was always secretly helping her. After all, she is the Doctors daughter.
There were days, however, when things went bad. The Doctor would have to become the Oncoming Storm and River would have to scoop up Olivia and hide her from the monsters. But River and the Doctor would never change a thing. They both cherished little Olivia Amelia Song and nothing could ever change that. She was their miracle, their little star in the black sky. Their light in a dark world. Their happiness, for both of them were finally and completely happy.
...
River had always wanted a daughter. She knew she could never have one though, although she didn't expect the reason to be because she was dead. Or not dead, but trapped in a virtual world in a library with no actual body and just her fantasies to keep her company. Sure there was Anita and Dave as well as other Dave but they would never understand River's life. Hell, it was so crazy that half of the time she didn't either. But she did know that the Doctor wasn't coming back for her, she wouldn't have a real daughter with him as the father, and there would be no more days spent on the Tardis. But you can't blame a girl for dreaming, even of the impossible.
AN: I'm sorry for the angst! I don't know where it came from but this was all i could think to write. If you guys want to send me some prompts I might write some of those but I recently started college so life got a lot more busy. Thanks for reading though and please leave a review. They truly do mean a lot to me.
