"You say all of this, and then you just go away?" Liberta questioned, still in the ground. Dante thought he wasn't strong enough, but he was. He was sure he was strong enough to deal with his past. He had chosen to live by his sword, and it didn't matter what he would live by it.
"What else did you expect me to do, idiot?" Nova continued arguing, giving up of just ignoring the other. He was feeling a little left out in the matter and even if he didn't admit it, he was worried about Liberta.
"I don't know, but a little help here would be good, chickpea." the blonde teen complained and Nova offered his hand to help him.
"I already said that I don't like being called chickpea." he said, pulling the other. "You're heavy. You should get in a diet, fatty."
"Hey, shut up!" Liberta said, blushing a little. "I'm not fat. It's only muscle, okay?" they walked to the mansion and Nova stopped.
"Liberta... I know it's not something that matters to me, but I want to know. What's happening with you?" he asked, addressing the other by the name, not calling him "idiot" as the usual. It made Liberta stare at him. Wow, is he really worried about me?
"I'm just... confused. I can't remember important parts of my past and I don't know what are my Arcana powers." he looked so devasted, that Nova got even closer to him, shyly caressing the other's face, making him look at him.
"W-Well... I can't help you to get your memories back but..." he sighed, trying to find words to express. "But you'll, now or later, discover what are your Arcana powers. There's no need to erase this stupid smile from your face."
"You care, don't you? You care that I'm sad this way, right?" Liberta said, putting his hand over Nova's stopping its moves. Instantly, Nova blushed, ready to deny it, when Liberta pressed his forehead to the other, locking their gazes.
"I'm just used to see you around, like an idiot, an smiling and happy idiot." Nova tried to look away, but Liberta's hand caught his face. Now, their noses were brushing and for the first time, Liberta felt tempted to kiss the other.
And that's what he did. He pressed his lips, carefully, against Nova, hoping that the other wouldn't go away. Nova didn't go away. He corresponded to the kiss, hugging Liberta's neck, just enjoying the weird sensation of being kissed. It was a good and warm feeling, and it was more intense, maybe because it was Liberta kissing him, but even thought it was that good, he knew he would regret after some time. And when they stopped the kiss, he was blushing and breathing harshly. He didn't have time to freak out right now, and he was tired. He just let the other go, and got in his way to the mansion, not without saying:
"Don't think it meant anything, idiot." well, Liberta didn't. It was just a hell of a kiss, that he would keep on his memory, forever.
