Invisible

She was a hero.

A champion.

Crowned with victory, the world now knew her name.

Katniss Everdeen, the girl on fire.

Being one of the twenty-four tributes was hard enough, what with daily scheduling, the interviews, sitting through hours and hours of stylist applying her make up. Her every move was captured on camera under the magnifying glass of the public.

And there was no way out of it all.

When they took her from the reaping, she had on a faded old blue dress and shoes that were in decent condition. When she arrived at the Capitol, they tweaked her, transformed her, turned her into somebody she couldn't even recognize. They took everything that made her who she was, and turned her into this faux personality.

"They just want a good show, it's all they want...!"

How true Gale was the day before she was taken to the Capitol.

How much of it was true? How much of it was just for the camera? They made her tell lies in front of the entire audience.

Anyone would be temped to have fame and luxury, even if it was for a moment. She held it, grasped it... but she felt no different than before.

Twirling as her dress lit up in flames, applause and praise roared throughout the audience.

Though, when the lights went down, and she was by herself in the balcony of the penthouse... she couldn't help but feel hollow.

Even when I'm walking on a wire
Even when I set myself on fire
Why do I always feel invisible…?

Song: Invisible - Skylar Grey

When I was watching the 'W.E.' trailer, I heard the song, and then I heard 'set myself on fire', I immediately thought of Katniss. ('W.E.'s actually a very good movie, just so you know. It's so overly bashed, because it's directed by Madonna. If any of you are into history, or the British monarchy, see it!)

Hope you like!
