Title: Conversations about the future.

When Pam woke up the next night she awoke to Eric reading a magazine and sitting at the foot of her coffin.

"Hello, sleepyhead." He purred looking up from the article which she now knew had to do with the Tru Blood bombings that Bill had been behind before he went even crazier and became Billith.

"I didn't feel you near." She said almost regretting it the moment the words left her mouth. After he released her, she still felt miserable that their blood bond wasn't there. She'd never be able to feel her maker again.

Eric leaned down kissing her gently on the forehead before kissing her lips. She knew he had released her to protect her and also so she couldn't go fight to save him if she knew he was in trouble.

"Yes my darling, I'm still getting use to the change too."

She closed her eyes letting his voice wash over her and calm her nerves. No matter that she was released she would always love Eric, would always be willing to die for him. She sat up and he helped her. They remained like that, former maker and child just taking in what it meant to both still be alive.

Pam was about to tell Eric how much she missed him but her blood bond with Tara sent a shudder down her undead spine and she knew her progeny was awake.

"Tara's up huh?" Eric said still smiling and she only nodded. She longed to go to her but she didn't want Eric to see her feelings. She went stiff in his arms and he laughed making her frown.

"What's so funny viking?" she said with a hint of anger. Eric rolled those blue icy eyes and kissed her again only her lips this time.

"Oh nothing except I can still see you are hiding how you feel from her. She's your child, your legacy. So why feel the need to pretend you don't have feelings for her?"

"You do realize a few days ago I totally hated her right?"

"But not anymore...Sookie's little friend Jessica told me about the kiss."

Pam sucked her teeth feeling that kiss again as if it were just happening. She must have projected because she felt Tara react on her end of the bond. She wanted to go to her even more.

"That lil ginger is seriously needing a lesson in minding her own business."

Eric's hand played with her long, blonde curls and made her look him in the eyes.

"You know I'm with Jessica on this one."

"What the hell does that mean?"

"I think its cute...you finally meet someone that you love-"

"I love you too idiot!: She said scowling a bit but he ignored it, just like he ignored her cutting him off mid-sentence.

"True my love, but that's a different kind of love. With Tara, if you don't push her away you can be forever happy. She loves you too Pamela." He said lifting her chin up.

"Well aren't you just the helpful therapist." She said grinning and they shared a laugh. She got up going to the room Tara had slept in to keep Jessica company when Eric called her name.

"Yes?" She said.

"I just had a thought...if you ever change your mind, would you tell Tara to come visit me sometime? I have become quite fond of her."

"Don't bet on it Eric. I might share you with Tinkerbell but the hell if I'm sharing Tara. She's mine and mine alone."

"Aww, so sweet."

"Shut up!" She said knowing if she were still human she would hve blushed. She walked out the door to the soft laughter of her Eric. She knew he was right but the hell if she'd get all mushy about it. Just not her style.
