"I scorn those who scorn me.. hail to the watchtowers and to the guardians of the south, the elements of fire.."
Katie heard this. Almost every night. It was nothing new. Her mother was a witch, and she was one too. Not like the Charmed ones or Sabrina. She was a witch who stepped inside concecrated circles.
But not often. She would try to preserve her dignity as long as possible. Her mother Sarah- would tell her a story about when she was a teen. How'd she'd abodended her coven, how three girls called Nancy, Rochelle and Bonnie had almost killed her.
But her mother had been victorous. Nancy had been put away in a mental instution. The other two girls had lost their powers.
Katie mulled these thoughts in her head as her mother contiued the ritual.
~*~*~*~MEANWHILE~*~*~*~
"Out.. finally.. out.." A demented smile crossed Nancy's lips. Nothing could stop her. Sarah was good as dead. Deciding to pay her old friend Bonnie a visit, she brushed the dirt off of her. Dressed in stolen clothes; a black pair of pants and a red tank, she climbed up a small ladder by a nearby bridge. 20 miserable years she'd spent in there, while the others had normal lives. All because of Sarah. Well, Sarah would pay. She found herself at Bonnie's house a few mintues later, and knocked on the door.
The door opened, and oddly, Bonnie still lived there. Both her parents had moved into a smaller house about 5 years after Nancy was comitted, so she owned the house. "Nancy.." Bonnie said in a terrified whisper.
"Hello, dear Bonnie. How have things been?" Bonnie didn't answer. "Good! Where's Sarah. She doesn't live here anymore does she?" Bonnie was still frozen in terrified silence. Nancy, getting tired of the silence, wrapped her hand around Bonnie's throat. "TALK BITCH!" Nancy yelled into the cold night, her eyes darting wildly. "Just because I'm insane doesn't mean you can't talk!"
"She... moved.." stuttered Bonnie.
"That's a start. WHERE?"
"I don't know.."
Nancy sighed. "Okay, bitch, you've fufilled your purpose, and I've already killed one person. What makes you think I won't make it two? Stop protecting her. She abandoned you anyway!"
Bonnie choked. "To.. Japan with her boyfriend about two years after you left. He died in a motorcycle accident about 3 years after that when she was pregnant with Katie." Nancy let go of Bonnie's throat, and slammed the door. "PREGNANT? What makes you think, bitch, that you can deny your past? YOU ARE AS GOOD AS DEAD! And Katie.." Nancy chuckled as she strolled down the street. "I have a little treat for you.."
