Pity for Me
Little girl, do not cry!
How can guilt not blossom,
When rebel you can't even try?
But from yours, my heart I must pry.
Do something! Scream, fight!
I'd rather bear your endless struggle,
Than peek into your darkest night.
Instead, I hold on to duty's light
What is that in you I see?
Pure heart bears that innocent way
For its disappearance, I silently plea
Deeper than your fear, is your pity for me
Alas, it is no longer a torturous game -
My siblings became them, no longer we
You, who created that righteous flame
Over a power you can't even name.
