Unexpected Reveals
Jack sat on the window seat, deeply immersed in a novel. His staff loosely hanging over the edge in one hand, the other holding a thick, light blue book, Jack had picked up the day before and had been reading it ever since
It wasn't a common scene. The spirit usually didn't read at all. It was just coincidence that he had stumbled upon a fascinating story about a girl was similar ice powers than his, who was just as lonely until she discovered that she was loved by her sister all along.
To his dismay, he was nearly at the end of it now. The last few pages telling of what became of the girl and her sister.
Most of the guardians were currently at the north-pole, for one or another reason. Jack had spread all the snow he could and was taking a well-deserved break.
Jack heard the door to the library open and in the corner of his eye, saw how Bunny squashed himself through the small opening and closed the door behind him.
The spirit sighed. He really didn't want to be bothered right now. The past few days had been exhausting and he was slightly irritated.
Bunny had been going on about his supposed crush on Tooth for days now.
The other guardian leaned against the wall next to Jack's head with a sly grin.
"You know Jack; you should really tell Tooth how you're feeling. I'm sure she'll understand, she's a classy lady after all."
Jack didn't look up from his book, although it was harder to stay focused on the words before him. Bunny continued with his rant.
"She's way out of your league, off course but maybe it'll hurt less in the after math if you get it over with now"
Stay calm Jack, just read!
"I could do it for you if you want. If you're too much wuss to do it-"
OK, that's it!
Bunny was interrupted by Jack slamming his book shut with a loud sound.
He stood up from his comfortable seat under the window and rose to his full size with the book clammed under his arm.
The spirit met Bunny eyes with an icy glare.
"I do not have any romantic feelings for Tooth and I would appreciate if you would leave me alone while I'm reading"
With that, he turned his back to the older guardian and made his way to the door.
He shoved it open but before he stepped through it, threw one more look at the puzzled bunny.
"Besides, you're far more my type than she'll ever be", he grumbled before shutting the door and leaving him in the quiet library.
