The Unknown
He walked down the pathway, thoughts clouding his mind. Never before had he felt the rush, the factor of freedom that running brought. His full bag banged against his leg as the wind flew around him, twisting normal images into something extraordinary.
Running from the fear
From the pain of the unknown
Never before has it been done
Never again shall it be repeated
Forever printed in the thoughts of the young
They would never know the results; never know what they had done. Would they remember? Worried of their thoughts of the dark? He stumbled over a stone, falling to the ground.
The pain never drifts
Always in the mind
They will never know what has been done to my mind
He heard the sounds of footsteps behind him and rose from the dirt, losing his bag in the process.
They will never catch me
Panting, he turned, searching the shadows for the source of the noise, calling out.
Hearing the sounds
Terrified of nothing in itself
Of the betrayer
The only sound was the crackle of leaves in the air. Turning he saw the face of the unknown.
Never ending dark
Trapped in the forbidden
Seduced by the unknown
Redemption
A young man walked through the night.
The blackest of day reined, despair thick and sweet in the air;
A shadow, unaccompanied by malice looked upon this man
He, upon seeing this great sheet of black, gave a shout.
The shadow chuckled, you need not fear me child,
For I am the one that has come to save.
Confusion swept across his face;
If you have come to save as you so say,
Then what is it I need saving of?
The shadow, fond of curiosity, became amused,
His great expanse spreading warmth as show.
My child I have come to save myself,
I require redemption, and you shall be mine.
Gazing above at the frightful image the man asked,
Why is it you call me child?
The shadow, shrinking upon itself answered,
For that is what you are.
The man became shocked,
But you have died, of the things you twist, it is impossible.
Kindness rolled forth from the depths of the night;
Think it not impossible for you are I,
Bound to repeat the mistakes of the father.
Do not become like me, child,
The shadow receded into the darkness from whence it came,
For it shall bring you a death such as mine.
A/N: You may not have figured out how these are related to Harry Potter, but here are the explanations:
The Unknown: Okay, this is about being seduced by the darkness, which is the unknown, and thoughts of being betrayed by those he loved who didn't understand the dark. He's (Harry, Ron, any light male character) running away, trying to escape the seduction, but is unable to get away from the dark.
Redemption: The black shadow is Lucius' essence. The man is Draco. In this Lucius was killed by Voldermort and Draco was always lead to be a Death Eater, so Lucius is asking him not to follow his footsteps and be loyal to the Dark Lord. Lucius requires redemption for his actions and is worried of the life Draco lives.
Well, these were a couple of poems, one I wrote years ago and I thought that they fit the characters of the books well in some ways. You may find that they fit other ideals, interpret what you will and I would greatly appreciate any comments you have.
Cheers!
