How to Love Again

It had been years since Finn and Rachel had talked to each other. There names weren't even used in the same sentence. Not until now.

It was a cold night in the streets of New York. Most places closed, some still open. Like the little coffee shop that nobody ever went to. Rachel, who lived in a apartment down the street from this coffee shop, didn't even know it was even there. As Rachel was walking down the street after a long night of work, she decided to check out the little coffee shop. She burst through the doors, yawning the whole way in. She took a seat at the little booth and waited for some one to wait on her. Out from behind the kitchen came a very tall and awkward looking man. He looked very familiar, but she wasn't in the mood to think from how tired she was. "Hi, my name is Finn, welcome to the coffee barn. How can I help you?" He looked up from his note pad and almost dropped his pen. Wow she's…. wow. Finn thought. "Just a coffee….Finn?" He remembered where he was and got right on that order. When he came back with her coffee, he noticed that she was asleep. He looked at his watch and noticed that is was closing time. He didn't want to wake her up, so he sat there for a little bit and tried to remember where he had met this girl, because she was so familiar. He looked at her body, small and petite. Her hair, Brown and short. Right then, he remembered. "Rachel." He said. Just as the word came out of his mouth, she reacted to her name being said by blurting out " HUH!"

Finn jumped back as he noticed her sudden awakening. "Rachel?" Finn said in a low voice. "How do you know my name?" Rachel said suddenly backing away. Finns smile slowly turned into a frown. She didn't remember him. Or any of the memories they had. "You… You don't remember me?" She looked at him up and down. Very tall and slightly skinny. Chocolate brown eyes and dark brown hair. She really wanted to remember him, but he just wouldn't come to memory. "I'm so sorry, but I should go…" Rachel said in a soft secretive voice. "Wait!" Finn blurted out. "Can I bring back some memories to see if you remember?" "It's getting late, so I should really go." "Please, wait. I promise I won't take to long" He said with a innocent voice. "Fine" Rachel said, not in the mood to fight with this mysterious guy. "Well, we met in high school, you were always staring at me…it was pretty creepy. But I always thought you were cute." He said, with determination in his voice. "You looked exactly the same, adorable in every way. You had a voice that could blow anyone away. I was amazed when you first sang a song in glee club. Ohh, glee club. Best memories we ever had. Where we met, where we shared our first kiss, where we talked about our future. You helped me realize that my old girlfriend lied to me, and that saved my life. You even taught me how to actually love someone, and have real feelings. You made me realize the real meanings in life, and to always be on a positive side. You made me love you, and I never stopped loving you." Rachel sat there, dumb founded. "Finn? …. Hudson." Finn laughed and hugged her and looked into her eyes. "You just taught me how to love again."
