The hot water poured down his head. The shampoo streamed down his back.
Patrick never wanted to leave the shower.
It had been a horrible day.
An awful, dreadful, terrible, horrendous day.
And he wanted to die.
How could he have been so stupid?
He scrubbed his thighs hard.
The bathroom-door slammed open. "Why haven't you told me you're gay?" Fred looked crazy.
Patrick had never felt so naked before.
"And is that my shampoo…?"
Patrick looked at the burgundy-colored bottle. "Yes…"
"Why haven't you told me?"
Patrick stared into Fred's caring eyes. "Because I hate myself."
