"Come on, the water's great!"
Pyrrha smiled at Nora, the bruiser's untouchable happiness washing over her. "My apologies Nora, but I think I shall stay here," she replied, laughing a little from her seat as Nora dunked Jaune headfirst into the pool.
"Come on Pyrrha, you know you'll enjoy it!" she crowed, chasing after Ren to put him through his own dunking.
Off to the side, the girls of Team RWBY were watching with bemused expressions as Ren did all he could to avoid his manic teammate. "How do they put up with her?" Weiss asked sniffily, plainly trying not to smile at their antics.
Yang and Ruby shared a quick, evil grin before Yang sidled up beside the heiress. "I don't know, how do they put up with someone who knows how to enjoy life?"
"Excuse me?" Weiss asked her, shocked and angry. "Are you implying I don't know how to have fun?"
"No, I'm saying you don't know how to deal with people who do. Now Ruby!" At her command, Ruby shot in and hugged Weiss, clamping her arms to her sides.
"Alley-oop!" Yang cried as she hefted the pair over her shoulder and hurled them into the pool, grinning like a maniac.
Weiss' drawn out scream of "DOOOLLLLTS!" was music to her ears. Blake simply looked on despairingly as her partner dissolved into insane laughter. In the pool, Ruby did the same, although the effect was ruined by the diatribe she was getting from Weiss.
It took a few minutes, but Yang eventually calmed down enough to look at her partner. "Do you need some help too?" The withering glare she received really said it all as Blake slowly walked to the poolside and slipped gracefully into the water.
Yang turned to the redhead reclining on a sun lounger, seemingly content to stay there all day. Unsurprisingly, Yang wasn't going to stand for this. "So Pyrrha," she started, trying to act nonchalant. "How come you're just sat there and not enjoying the water? We did come here for the pool."
Pyrrha smiled at her placidly, not seeing the danger in the fiery blonde's words. "Oh, I was just planning to enjoy the sun and time with friends. It really is a lovely day, don't you think?"
"Yeah, so lovely I think you should join us all in the pool."
Pyrrha just smiled and shook her head. "I'm perfectly happy to stay here, but thank you for the offer Yang." Just as Pyrrha finished and started to lie back they heard an exuberant shout.
"Come on, Pyrrha, Yang, the water's great! You know you want-" Jaune was cut off as, once again, Nora dived over to him and dunked his head under the water.
Yang grinned. "You know what, I think they're right. Come on Pyrrha, we're goin' swimming!" Before the redhead could react, she was grabbed and thrown over a muscular pair of shoulders. Yang ran forward with a shout, jumping into the pool with a shocked Amazonian over her shoulder.
Her laughter abruptly stopped when Pyrrha began flailing and sputtering. Nora looked over and said, "Why's Pyrrha in the pool? I didn't think she could swim."
"Whoops?"
A/N: I needed to try and get back into writing and I've had this idea for ages.
