Jessi: I don't own Axis Powers Hetalia. Gilbert belongs to Hidekaz Himaruya. Friedrich II belongs... well, to history and himself, I suppose.

This is my first time writing Fritz/Prussia. Please be kind!

Gilbert Beilschmidt had been born to fight the same wars as Austria, but unlike that spoilt young master, as the albino so loved to point out, Prussia excelled at fighting. Born amid warfare as a Teutonic Knight, and in the way Gilbert like to tell it, the listener would think that the nation had sprung into existence with a sword in each hand and a knife clamped between his teeth. Whether that was true or not, Prussia loved to fight and when he wasn't occupied with swordplay or marksmanship or tactics, he was plotting to put those skills to use against that pansy-assed, cake-baking, sissy piano-playing aristocrat. Old Fritz would smile at this even if he was occupied with his own beloved music.

That same serene smile would be on Friedrich's face as he teasingly pressed his flute into Gilbert's hands. Long musician's hands could guide fingers calloused by years of swordplay over the flute keys while his warm body could press against Gilbert's back. Fritz' voice could discuss pincer movements and philosophy and could mummer advice and instructions into the albino's ear.

But Prussia loved it best when that serene smile was looking down on him, when those talented fingers were tangled in his hair and when that voice whispered, panted, moaned,

"Ich bin der erste Diener meines Staates."

It was at those moments that Gilbert Beilschmidt wondered if he could have been born for something other than war.

Ich bin der erste Diener meines Staates – I am the first servant of my state.

Jessi: U-usually I don't write romance but I adore Fritz/Prussia and quite frankly this fandom could use more of it. It's practically canon, historically speaking!
