She walked circles around her living room. She'd been known as the brightest witch of her age from the time she was eleven, until she was seventeen. After the war, she'd dropped out of school and, thanks to the large sums of money the Ministry threw at her for her part in bringing down Voldemort, she'd become a hermit. She ordered everything she needed either via owl or internet and didn't leave her home.
Ginny had moved to The United States to play Quidditch for an American team, Ron had moved on and married a witch from Beauxbatons and the last time she had heard from Harry, he was living with Cho Chang.
What had she done with her life? She never went to college, she was burned out on books and cleverness. She never married or had children, how could she, when she never left the house to meet anyone? She watched movies on her telly and chatted in online forums.
One autumn evening her cable and internet had been knocked out due to a storm that had blown through, so Hermione was sitting in front of her computer with nothing to do. She opened up a blank document and began to type.
Before she knew it, she had typed thousands of words, telling Harry's life story from the point of view of someone on the outside looking into their lives. She saved the document onto her hard drive and forgot about it.
Several years had passed and joking with herself, Hermione decided to send her work to a publisher in London. They quickly accepted her book as fiction and published it. She chose a penname after her grandmother and away the books went. Later on it was translated into many different languages and read around the world.
The first novel gave birth to 6 more, which were eventually made into 8 movies that told the world the story of how Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger helped save the world. Only witches and wizards knew it to be truth. To the muggles, this was the ultimate fantasy, but for the lucky ones like Hermione, it was a dream come true.
