To Find True Love In Tragedy
Authors note: This s my very first fan fiction. I am not writing this story to be historically accurate I'm writing it dependent on my imagination. I decided to write this story because ever since ever since I watched the movie troy I hated a lot of things that happened in it, and I loved the Achilles Briseis paring. I've read many other Achilles Brises story's off this site. I liked many of them but some were never finished or they were so good I wished they would have gone on with the story while others I just didn't like the ending. So I decided, Why not just write my own? Now that is exactly what I'm doing and I hope you enjoy it.
Disclaimer: I do not own Troy or any of the character's in this story!
Chapter 1: Her Tragic History
When Briseis was eleven years of age she came to live in Troy with her uncle and two cousins. There she became their fair beautied princess, their 'prize from the gods'. The people of troy looked upon her as their goddess of hope and fortune. She never understood why they gave her those titles. She always thought of herself as the exact opposite of beauty. She had waist length curly auburn brown hair with golden brown eyes. She was relatively small compared to most weighing around 90 pounds and standing at 5'0 tall. It was hard for her to believe them when they said she was fortunate. When she lived in lyressa with her father, mother, and 6 brothers, her father taught her to fight along with her brother's. Her father taught her things princesses' were told not to do; because he believed her destiny was to change the world. Five weeks after her thirteenth birth day a man came to the palace of lyressa telling her he was taking his Briseis hand in marriage, but she was no longer aloud to fight. Her father refused him the right to marry Briseis, and told him to leave the city at once. The man became enraged and killed the king queen and her 6 brothers, but not before he raped her right in front of them. She was only able to escape because a guard took pity on her, because he reminded him of his daughter. Once she escaped she traveled to troy to try and find solace in her uncle's kingdom.
It has been about two and a half years since tragedy struck her family and changed her life forever. Briseis was never the same after that she distanced herself from most people outside her family. She had one friend who also escaped form lyressa. Her name was Aglea she became Briseis' handmaiden and best friend besides her new cousin-n-law Hector's wife Andromache. Briseis never felt safe around any man besides her uncle or cousins Hector and Paris. Briseis spent her days with Aglea or Andromache in the garden or walking along the beaches. When she wasn't with them she could be found in the temple or on the training grounds of the palace practicing with Hector. Hector was always surprised at how fast she could catch on to new tactics without a problem. Although she could never best Hector fighting with metal she could easily beat anyone in hand-to-combat. She moved like a leopard fast, quite, and lethal. Her uncle king Priam never approved of a female participating in males actives, but he allowed her to continue because her father (his only brother) was passionate about bettering her natural ability's. Briseis was always very unique in her ability's in fighting, medicine, and her vast intelligence. Anyone who knew her already understood how special she was, because she was so beautiful, caring, and she had the most courage and endurance than any one person known. Her destiny was to change the world, but it can always change when something stronger than fate emerges. When to unlikely fates collide who knows how the world will end up.
