The next great adventure
Amara came slowly to consciousness. The last thing she remembered was walking through Diagon Alley and being attacked by the last of the Death Eaters. She had fought them all but she was left bleeding really badly. There was no way that she would have survived. That meant…Abruptly she opened her eyes and saw she was in a white dress on a valley filled with flowers. Her hair was filled with lilies and ivies. In the middle of the valley stood a man. He was glorious. He had the blackest hair she'd ever seen that reached his neck, silver eyes, high cheekbones, a strong jaw and the easiest to notice a pair of midnight blue wings.
If she hadn't seen him before she would have gaped. She stood up and walked closer to him.
'Death'
'Mistress' he said in a husky voice. He looked his mistress over with adoring eyes. This was his mistress Amara Rosalind Potter- Black. The only person he ever felt something for. He had looked after her since her birth. The moment she was born he felt the power of his hallows. They had finally chosen their mistress. They had finally chosen the companion that would stay with him and help him escape his loneliness. What he hadn't expected was after observing her life's journey was falling in love with her. He had raged when those foolish mortals had hurt his mistress again and again. Their afterlife was planned to be torturous. He had already started on his hit list with Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape. Oh he thought with a malicious smirk they would definitely 'enjoy' their next great adventure. 'Will you be choosing to go back this time?' he asked.
Amara thought about it she was forty years old though she barely looked older than twenty two. This wasn't the first she'd died. Death had already explained to her, her role as the Mistress of Death. At first she was enraged but now she'd come to accept it. Death always asked her the same question when she died and she always answered yes as she still had things to do. But now, she wasn't married after Fred she couldn't get into another relationship, her godson was old enough to look after himself and was married with Victoire, her friends have moved on and made families for themselves and she was alone and stuck. It was time for her to move on.
She looked at Death and said 'No, it's time for me to move on.'
She was surprised to see Death smiling at her. It was a beautiful smile.
'Very well then. I am looking forward to spending the rest of eternity with you mistress.'
Surprisingly she was as well. She told him so to his delight. She wouldn't be lonely after all.
'Call me Amara, you can't call me mistress for the rest of eternity'.
He took her hand and kissed her knuckles softly. 'As you wish my lady. Call me Thanatos.' With that he took her hand and led her to the Underworld. Yes Amara thought with a blush her next great adventure would be long but fulfilling and the company wonderful.
A/N I was trying to work on the broken serpent but this wouldn't leave my mind. There isn't enough of this pairing in my opinion.
Enjoy!
