Starhunt
A Stardust fanfiction
By H.R.C. Stanley
Prologue
A philosopher once asked, "Do we gaze at the stars because we're human, or are we human because we gaze at the stars?" But one question he never asked or even wondered was, "Do the stars gaze back? Do they travel and guard over the vast realms of space and time? Do they swim through the universe? Do they think and talk like we creatures of Earth do? Do they feel and love?"
Many myths, stories and legends about the stars and planets themselves imagined as gods, titans, demons and angels have been told and spread throughout the world; from the ancient years of Greece and Rome to the Zodiacs of mystical astrology. But none have ever been more interesting than the tale of a young little star named Ingrid.
It all began over 550 years ago, in the midst of the 15th century, on a little village simply called Wall near the mighty kingdom of Stormhold, when a mortal girl named Lucie spots a falling star coming down from the great dark sky and runs along to find where it had landed and see who and what it may actually be. From there on, once their fates had intertwined, their lives may be changed forever...
