I kind of just wrote this on a whim after being inspired (by what I don't know). It takes place where a Doctor is fighting a cyberman (no particular Doctor, no particular Cyberman attack, you can pick whichever you feel appropriate).
I do not own Doctor Who or any of the characters, scenes, or words associated.
"We are superior, we have no feelings. Join us."
"Feelings are beautiful, I would never give up my feelings," The Doctor snapped.
"Feelings hold us back. Feelings are what keep us from being amazing. We are superior beings."
"Feelings hold us back, eh? When was the last time you sat on a beach and felt the water tickle your ankles, tasting the salt on your tongue and feeling complete bliss? When was the last time you held a girl's hand in your own, her blood pumping right along with yours and you felt complete like you never have before? When was the last time you smelled a flower and all the life it contained, the scent overwhelming your every nerve, your every cell? When was the last time you helped someone in need and as they looked at you, all of forgiveness and thankfulness in their eyes, they made you feel as if you just conquered the world? When was the last time you saw a sunset on a summer day, the colors melting together like a popsicle to represent the sad end of one day and the happy beginning of another? And not only happy feelings push us along, the sad ones help us as well – no matter how painful. When was the last time you painted a masterpiece because you caught her cheating with another man? Or the last time you saw a loved one die and it changed all of your perspectives, every day that followed a gift? And the best feeling, the most complicated feeling there is, hope. Hope pushes us on, it keeps us breathing, and it keeps us moving. Without hope we are standing here without a purpose, without something to keep us going. Hope is what guides us to the next door after the first one is closed. So you see, feelings are beautiful, and though most take them for granted we are nowhere NEAR 'superior' without them. I bet you were invented by someone who was done feeling sad, angry, depressed, hurt, hopeless, because whoever it was didn't remember how it felt to be happy, forgiving, healthy, and full of hope. Feelings keep us grounded, they keep us alive. And I know, somewhere deep inside of that metal suit, is someone who used to feel all these things, but they were taken from you without consent. You were stripped of your rights, everything that makes you who you are. And I'm sorry about that, I really truly am."
