If You Told Me To

"Well I've been searching for something true

My heart says it must be you

I'd love to fall and see it through

But only if you told me to"

- Hunter Hayes, If you told me to

Lily Evans turned off her radio. Her two best friends Arabella Figg and Alice Prewett had the biggest crush on upcoming wizard singers and it was getting annoying.

"Honestly." She sighed. Lily and her best friends were in their sixth year at Hogwarts. Sadly, her nemesis James "I'm so awesome" Potter was in her year as well. Being the female sixth year Gryffindor prefect, Lily and James were natural enemies. After all, he was a marauder. The marauders were known throught Hogwarts as the best pranksters. They never got caught! Ever! And that my friends, infuriated Lily Evans to no end. So she made the perfect plan to catch them in the act.

"I'm going to catch them tonight." Lily thought. She had intercepted an owl from Sirius to James earlier that morning. The letter looked like this:

Oy Prongsie!,

Padfoot Here!

Big Prank tonight!

Whomping Willow at 10?

Padfoot

Lily didn't know why they called each other Padfoot and Prongs but it was Sirius' owl. Severus Snape walked up to her err…. Rather glided. "What do you want?" snapped Lily. Ever since he had called her a mudblood she didn't trust him. "Shouldn't you be with your death eater friends?" Snape began to speak. "Lily…. Please.." Severus said. "I didn't mean it." Lily wished that the floor would swallow him up. She got the closest thing to it. James Potter flounced in.

Lily groaned inwardly. That stupid prat would only make things worse. "What do you want Potter?" spat Snape. James smirked faded for a second, then regained it's composure. "Fine Evans ! Don't say that I didn't warn you." With that, he pranced off. "Who are you, Rudolph ?" muttered Lily. After James had left, Severus turned to her. "Lily.." but as soon as he said her name, his prefect badge changed to form these words: Snivellus Snape, Slimy Git. Rage coursed through Lily, then stopped. Sev- Snivellus deserved it. She had to admit, Potter had style. She turned and left.
