The Enchantress (Santanico Pandemonium – Elijah Mikaelson (One Shot))
He gazed upon her mesmerized by her beauty. Her lips red as blood. Her hair dark as the deepest night and her eyes… Oh, God those eyes, he could find himself lost in those eyes. He had been alive for a millennia and yet he'd be but a child looking upon the brightest star for the first time.
A dream. An enchantress. A goddess come to life. Who was she? Where had she come from? Who was this witch that enchanted him from the very first sight?
He had to know. No! He needed to know. He approached with caution. Any sudden movements and he could drive her back to the unknown. Where he could not go and he could not follow.
He watched her dance. Her movements smooth, her body moving to the rhythm as one. United together, bound from the start. He felt drown to her in a way he did not want and could not explain. He was hers and he was her slave.
"Who are you?" he asked. "What is your name?"
"Santanico." She says and seals his fate.
Names have power they used to say. Name a person and you own his fate. You steal his soul, you lead the way. Yet, she was the master and he was the slave. And the worst part was he liked it that way.
He watched her reach for him. He felt her hands. The warmth of her skin, the touch of her lips. He knew then that he was done. All he had once been had been torn apart. She reached for his soul, to his very core and once she found it he had been reborn.
Once he thought himself a monster. A demon of the night. A thing that crawled in the dark hidden from sight. Denied by the light, surrounded by darkness. This witch, this goddess with the gift of sight.
He knew then that he was wrong. He was the darkness, yes, but he owned the night. This new life belonged to him and this nymph of the night was his partner in life.
Together they walked to end the night. And lead the way to the brightest light.
For when the end comes to anything, something new begins to take its place.
Elijah ended his damaged ways and brought peace and happiness in their place.
