The light peaking through the hotel windows was too much. He had another hangover and he wasn't exactly sure what happened the night before. Whatever. Nate groaned and sat up in bed, his head spinning. He got out of bed to the best of his ability and walked to the mini-bar. All the whiskey was gone so he grabbed a few small bottles of scotch. He downed the first few before turning back to the bed. That's odd. The sheets and comforter were all messed up. Now normally he just would've suspected that he had a restless night. This time though it was different because the other pillow had been slept on. Walking over slowly and he got back on the bed. A wet spot formed by his knees as the bottle of scotch fell from his hands. She had played him.

~Later~

"Sophie a word please" Nates voice was cold

"Yes Nathan" She took long strides over to him

"Care to tell me what happened last night?" Nate looked at her seriously his arms crossed

"Nate I don't know..." Sophie started

"Sophie I know you lie for a living, but please don't lie to me, at least not about this" Nate dropped his arms to the side to show he was trying to be casual about it. Suddenly Sophie slapped him, not hard, enough to wake him up though.

"You're not drunk are you?" She looked at him

"Do I look drunk" Nate gestured to himself

Sophie rolled her eyes. "I was lonely and you were drunk and you're...not with anyone." Sophie looked away embarrassed

"You manipulated me" Nate hissed

"Look Nate you don't remember it can't you just forget about it" Sophie begged

"No Sophie!" Nate was starting to get angry.

"Just stop thinking!"

"Huh?" Nate stopped confused

"Just don't think" Sophie repeated softer this time

Nate closed his eyes trying not to think. He waited for about a minute before he opened his eyes again. She wasn't there. That's how it always would be. She would chase him and he would chase her, yet they never tagged each other.
