Madam Pomfrey sighed. It had been a long day, that was for sure. The youngest Weasley boy had been brought in. And well, when one Weasley came it seemed like they all did and then some. And truthfully she wasn't as young as she once was.
She stopped, noticing a piece of paper on the floor that must've fallen out of the trash can. She picked it up and, against her better judgment, opened it and began to read. After she'd finished reading it once she had to go back and read again… and again…and yes just once more
Oh dear! This was epic, this was huge, this was almost unbelievable. The letter she held in her hands, brought truth to the theory that the Granger girl was in love with the Weasley boy! Although it hardly came as a shock to her, she'd known ever since their third year when Ron had been brought in for the dog bites and broken leg on one of their heroic adventures. That girl had worried over him for days.
But Minerva would most definitely get a kick out of this, she was betting that Granger and Potter would get together, as was the most of the Hogwarts staff and students. But not her Madam Pomfrey. Poppy Pomfrey was smarter than that. Ha, next time she came out of the teacher's lounge it would be with five extra sickles in her pocket.
But now how to get them together. It was obvious they needed her help. As smart as that Hermione was, it was amazing how oblivious she could be. And Ron well he was entirely hopeless. Well, they'd best be thankful they had her or nothing would get done.
Now for a plan… Well, it was time for Weasley's potion, she'd simply hand the letter to him and tell him she'd found it on the floor. Quick, easy, to the point and unless the had a large amount of Veritaserum no one would ever know she had a hand in it.
Yes, that's exactly what she'd do. She turned around and marched back into the hospital wing. And after much arguing she finally forced a potion down that redheads throat before handing him the letter and quickly striding out of the room. As she closed the door she heard a muffled "BLOODY--!" Well, she would let his language slide this time, she figured it was a lot to take in.
Now to collect her money from Minerva and see if maybe she couldn't do something about Potter and the Weasley girl…
