She kept by your side throughout it all

And you didn't care

She watched you leave, watched you fall

Even then, you were descending into despair

She held your hand as you faded

Branded with what would be your destruction

She fought for you when you were jaded

How far have you fallen?

Never did you guess your absence would let her live

Strength came while you were gone

You think your leaving was all you could give

Anything to banish her tears of wan

Now she does everything in her power to end your life

What happened to the innocence?

Revealing her hidden strength throughout the continuing strife

Showing the world her newfound resilience

And you find yourself wishing you could've seen her bloom

Though still not regretting your decision

Although you know the end will arrive soon

Craving emptiness with starving passion

She travels gracefully through the trees

As you watch from a distance

You wonder what she thinks, what she sees

Visualizing with the power of her essence

And when her gaze locks with yours, you finally realize

You thought her eyes would be clear, soft, vivid

She grew strong to bring about your demise

Instead her being has turned stormy, fierce, livid

So you call, "You're going to regret meeting me here, Sakura," and wish she never came

You never wanted it to come to this

She growls, "I traveled here for a reason, Sasuke," and her eyes resemble an uncontrolled flame

Eyes you will forever miss

"May that reason be worth it," you sigh, as your hands fold into familiar signs

Signs that have killed more than can be counted

"I hope it will be," she replies softly, and her palms turn green as they shine

When did she learn to never be daunted?

You rush at her in a blur, every post move deliberate and precise

You are too skilled to do so otherwise

But you wonder why you feel as if your heart has turned to ice

And above, night watches the moon rise

When she collapses on top of you, you feel her blood spill across your chest

You slowly close your eyes

This is something you do not detest

Inside, you reach for the skies

Because as you die with her, the pain and loneliness finally leave

You feel her kunai lodged in your heart

Now peace is something in which you can believe

And you know this was destined right from the start

A/N: This was just a random idea I had. Sorry if it resembles my other story, "One Life for Another," too much...even if this is written in poetic form and that one isn't...

Well, please review! It would make me very happy if you did! :D
